Last Tuesday Fangfang and Mingming entered the English Speech Contest in our school. What they did make me think dee*.
Before the contest, Fangfang thought her English was the best. So shespent lots of time picking some beautiful clothes for herself instead of trying to work hard at English for the contest. As a result, she didnt do well in the contest because she hadnt got ready for the contest.
But Mingming was different from Fangfang. He worked hard at Englishand asked others for help. Especially, his leg was hurt two days before the contest, but he never gave up. In the end, he won the contest.
No doubt, from Mingming we should learn : No pains, No gains. From now on, I mush learn fromMingming.

In the modern society study English is becoming more important and popular. But when I was young, I didn’t know of this and prefer to play outside rather than learn English. 为了丰富同学们的课余生活以及激发大家对英语的学*兴趣，我系学*部于20xx年4月29日举办了英语演讲比赛，活动地点定于4107教室晚七点。
一、活动过程与效果
比赛共由来自大一的5位选手以及大二英语系的四位学姐评委组成。比赛中选手们依次进行了自己的演讲。
比赛共分为两轮，第一轮分为两个小版块，包括自我介绍和自己准备的小短文朗读，这一轮比赛满分为5分，每一位选手-演讲结束后都会有评委进行打分（评分制度：去掉最高分和最低分取中间的*均值），所有选手都进行过一轮后会有五分钟的休息时间，然后进行第二轮比赛，第二轮比赛满分为10分，选手要进行主题演讲(我们已经提前把演讲题目告知给给参赛选手)，然后由评为进行打分。所有的打分结束后统计出前三名，最终由数字媒体专业的谢正亚，王燕，以及影动的李冯同学分别获得前三名的佳绩。
本次的演讲大体上来说不是很成功，虽然大家也为比赛准备了，但是不难看出来由于时间原因还是没有准备的很充足。
