我觉得自己当选的优势是我上课的时候很认真，考试的时候很爱用脑，我记得四年级下学期期末考试考了100分，我们班是学两种教材，所以我们考了两次试，我两次都是100分，全班只有两个，英语科代表不是我当选还能是谁呢？
如果我当选了英语科代表的`话，我会更加严格要求自己，比如：
1、 我每天学*完之后，都要抽出半个小时看英语课外书。
2、 看到不会的单词我马上查词典并写上意思。
3 、同学们有不会的地方我会义不容辞地教他们。
但是，我当选以后，我对同学们的要求是：
每天上英语课的时候要认真。作业一定按时交齐，谁没交我就让他抄课文一遍并补上作业。
同学们，我相信，如果有我和同学们的共同努力下，我们班的英语成绩一定会突飞猛进的，请投我一票吧。

I just received a very gracious call from Senator McCain. He fought long and hard in this campaign, and he's fought even longer and harder for the country he loves. He has endured sacrifices for America that most of us cannot begin to imagine, and we are better off for the service rendered by this brave and selfless leader. I congratulate him and Governor Palin for all they have achieved, and I look forward to working with them to renew this nation's promise in the months ahead.

since my graduation from primary school, until now, every time on my birthday i make the same wish. i wish my parents will not fight anymore. i am not complaining that they gave me a bad childhood, they just fight so much! i am unhappy but that does not mean they do not love me. they do! they love me with all their heart. i love my parents also; i want them to live a happy life as well.

Lost time is never found again. This is something which I learned very clearly last semester. I spent so much time fooling around that my grades began to suffer. It's a great honor for me to stand here to deliver a speech to you. Then today I want to talk something about dreams and reality.
As the famous Russian litterateur Lev Tolstoy (列夫、托尔斯泰)said, “Ideal is the beacon(烟火、灯塔). Without ideal, there is no secure (无虑的, 安全的', 安心的, 可靠的, 保险的)direction; without a direction, there is no life.” So there’s no doubt that everyone needs his or her own ideal. Have you ever thought that what is practical and sensible(.明智的, 有感觉的, 明理的) will connect with our most treasured dreams? Maybe, to somebody, reality has little relation to ideal. To others nothing can be done without the sense of reality. So make our dreams a part of our reality. And make our reality a part of our dreams. There is no reason why our dreams must oppose our reality. Improve our dreams and our reality by bringing them together.
As a university student, establishing a dream is one of the most important things we have to do .But everyone must see the reality clearly at first. Your family condition, your personal ability, your social intercourse (交往、交流), your subject and the job you want to do, these things show you the reality and lead you to establish a dream.
Further more, difficult or otherwise, we should put the power of reality into our dreams. Last but not least remember to work hard at the task of chasing 追逐our dreams. Do believe that we can achieve our ideal step by step by the passage of time!

Every one of us,rich or poor,should at least have one or two good friends.My friends will listen to me when I want to speak,will wipe my eyes when I cry,will take care of me when I am sick,and my friends will go together with me side by side through this journey of life.
As students,we could share more time with our friends.The friendship in our young hearts is pure,fresh and simple.I often feel very lucky to have a lot of good friends.Especially when I had Justin as one of my best friends.Justin was my English teacher from the USA.I met him in 1996 when I was a student who could only speak very little English.Justin was a vivid young man with a bright smile on his face,and he always had his special way to make the class active and attractive.He taught us English by telling stories,playing games,singing songs,and even dancing.I could still remember very clearly that one afternoon when we fin-ished our class,we went to some other classes to sing songs for them,just like what people do in the states on Christmas Eve.It was so interesting and unforgettable.Justin was an excellent teacher,because he taught us not only how to study English well,but also the way to find out the beauty of the world and the way to be angels to others' lives.I know there was friendship and pure love in our hearts.Facing this valuable emotion neither nationality nor age was important,the real importance lay in faith,under-standing,and care.Justin is the best friend I have ever had,and I know I will cherish those days of staying together with him as the best part of my memory.

这周星期五，我们班会课正在评选“读书之星”呢!殊不知，这评选另我们班的焦躁气氛立即安静了下来。这次评选，好似一场委婉的竞赛，参赛的选手没有推让，更没有争执，可能是因为他们更希望把好书推荐给在座的每一位同学吧!这场竞赛，观众们聚精会神地看着。虽不似刀光剑影般惊心动魄，也不似流苏飞溅般引人注目，更没有落英飘洒般令人心醉。是同学对书的渴望，酝酿出了这么一个好氛围。
只见演讲的同学个个满口余香，教室也是余音绕梁，我们似乎回到了以前的私塾，外面的麦田、丘陵是那么恬静，那么纯朴。回头一看，原来朱老师正在拍照哪!这些照片，或许会在不久的将来，作为我们美好的回忆吧!这个照相机，总是让美好的事物定格，也让精神定格。

鲁迅先生从小认真学*。少年时，在江南水师学堂读书，第一学期成绩优异，学校奖给他一枚金质奖章。他立即拿到南京鼓楼街头卖掉，然后买了几本书，又买了一串红辣椒。每当晚上寒冷时，夜读难耐，他便摘下一颗辣椒，放在嘴里嚼着，直辣得额头冒汗。他就用这种办法驱寒坚持读书。由于苦读书，后来终于成为我国著名的文学家。
诸葛亮少年时代，从学于水镜先生司马徽，诸葛亮学*刻苦，勤于用脑，不但司马徽赏识，连司马徽的妻子对他也很器重，喜欢这个勤奋好学，善于用脑子的少年。那时，还没有钟表，记时用日晷，遇到阴雨天没有太阳。时间就不好掌握了。为了记时，司马徽训练公鸡按时鸣叫，办法就是定时喂食。为了学到更多的东西，诸葛亮想让先生把讲课的时间延长一些，但先生总是以鸡鸣叫为准，于是诸葛亮想：若把公鸡鸣叫的时间延长，先生讲课的时间也就延长了。于是他上学时就带些粮食装在口袋里，估计鸡快叫的时候，就喂它一点粮食，鸡一吃饱就不叫了。
过了一些时候，司马先生感到奇怪，为什么鸡不按时叫了呢？经过细心观察，发现诸葛亮在鸡快叫时给鸡喂食。先生开始很恼怒，但不久还是被诸葛亮的好学精神所感动，对他更关心，更器重，对他的教育也就更毫无保留了。而诸葛亮也就更勤奋了。通过诸葛亮自己的努力，他终于成为了一个上知天文，下识地理的一代饱学之人。
听了这些故事，大家也是否应该想想，自己有没有勤奋刻苦地学*呢？每个人都想用最简便的方法取得最优异的成绩，可是在学*上是没有捷径可走的。要想取得优异的成绩，要想成功，就必须付出自己的汗水，勤奋地学*。
爱迪生有一句话说得好：天才就是百分之九十九的汗水加百分之一的灵感。
韩愈也说过：业精于勤而荒于嬉，行成于思而毁于随。大家可以每天多问问自己：今天我尽力了吗？我勤奋认真地读书了吗？请大家谨记一句话：勤奋是通往成功的大道。

现在正值秋季，黄灿灿的稻谷已经开始收割，有经历过割稻的同学应该清楚，这是一件需要付出巨大劳力的事情，火辣的太阳将皮肤晒的黝黑，汗水犹如下雨。农民辛苦种植稻谷，辛勤收割稻谷，只为了为大家提供最自然无害的食物。而如果没有这样的劳动，我们天天吃的米饭又从何而来，所谓劳动光荣，就是因为劳动带给我们的，是无尽的包容和奖励啊!而我们作为这个社会的一员，自己又做过怎样的劳动呢?
社会发展的越来越快，许多同学都是家里衣食无忧的宝贝，但是大家想过吗?你们为何会衣食无忧，自由自在?是因为有人在为你们负重前行啊!你见过自己的父亲在业务中奔跑不止吗?你见过自己的母亲在工厂的.机器面前动作不停吗?你见过自己的爷爷奶奶为了让你们迟到好的蔬菜，顶着年老的身体，一锄一锄耕种吗?你们见过吗?没有见过现在能够想象出来吗?是否会觉得心酸，是否会觉得心疼。他们用自己的劳动换来了你们的快乐无忧啊!任何快乐都是需要代价的，但快乐同时也是劳动的产物啊!
许多同学很迷茫，不知道劳动应该从何开始。你稍微观察一下，当我们散场之后，地上会有多少垃圾，清扫垃圾就是一次劳动。下课之后，为老师擦黑板是一次劳动。回家吃完饭后，为爸爸妈妈洗碗是一次劳动。生活中，太多需要我们做的事情，这些都是劳动的象征啊，劳动也是我们勤劳的象征。勤劳作为我们中华民族的传统美德，在我们这一辈上，我们也要将它好好的传承下去，只有这样，我们才是对社会和祖国最大的回报!

Hello, everyone. It’s nice to share stories of my growing pains with you. Growing up is not always enjoyable. As the old saying goes "No pains, no gains", my pains provided me with an opportunity for better personal growth.
Once I took part in a birthday party of my classmate. It was really such a great time that I went home with a pretty happy look. In the evening, I wrote some memories of this evening in my diary. But my mother peeked at my diary, which I never ever had expected. I felt so sad that I couldn’t help arguing with her. I even shouted at her, "How can you look at my dairy!"
Then a cold war happened between us and lasted for almost a week. I finally apologized to her for my arguing, and my mother also promised not to peek at my diary any more. Luckily, my mother and I learned to understand each other from then on. Thanks very much for your attention.
Today the topic of my impromtu speech is that when it is dark enough, you can see the stars. I can’t agree with this saying more. In my opinion, Darkness is about the frustrations. “enough” is about the effort and the “stars” are the hopes, dreams or success. So, I have three points to support my opinion.
First, we should make our objective and direction clear before we set out. We can’t see the stars during the day time. Is it because that there are no stars here? Of cause not. The stars are over there in the sky all the time. We can’t see them because they are hidden behind the sunlignt. So, we shouldnot waste our time. Rather, we should turn to the night to find our stars. So before we set out for our dreams. It’s very important to know what exactly we want and which direction to go to find it.
Second, we should be prepared for wresting with frustrations and difficulties. We can’t expect that the way to our objective are smooth and easy. In the darkness, we may feel cold, lonely and be afraid of some unexpected frustrations, just as on the way to our dreams and success. But, only in darkness could we see the stars. Similarly, only by experiencing harships and setbacks can we be clear about our goals and objectives. So, we should be not afraid of the difficulties we have to experience. Rather, we should hold a positive attitude to fully prepared for them.
The last but not the least point is that we should keep in faith and don’t give up. Sometime we may feel disappointed after having been working hard for such a long time but still can’t reach our dreams. But, we shouldn’t give up and instead we should just keep in faith. May be our efforts are not enough. We need to work hard and keep waiting for a little bit longer, and we will see the hope soon.

我虽然长得虎头虎脑，但是，我这个虎脑可用的很及时哟！
我每次上英语课的时候听课都听得很入迷，不管是多么枯燥，我都是那么入迷。
我觉得自己当选的优势是我上课的'时候很认真，考试的时候很爱用脑，我记得四年级下学期期末考试考了100分，我们班是学两种教材，所以我们考了两次试，我两次都是100分，全班只有两个，英语科代表不是我当选还能是谁呢？
如果我当选了英语科代表的话，我会更加严格要求自己，比如：
1、 我每天学*完之后，都要抽出半个小时看英语课外书。
2、 看到不会的单词我马上查词典并写上意思。
3 、同学们有不会的地方我会义不容辞地教他们。
但是，我当选以后，我对同学们的要求是：
每天上英语课的时候要认真。作业一定按时交齐，谁没交我就让他抄课文一遍并补上作业。

对于英语有不少同学烦恼，我们应该如何学好英语？其实要学好英语，并不难，只要我们每天上课认真，把该记忆的词汇都认真记住，打好底子，我们学起来就要容易很多。
我们考试的时候，听力填词或者做题都需要我们掌握词汇，听懂英语。这是一门语言，我们就应该进行练*，多说多看，如果有时间，我们可以看一些英语书籍，锻炼自己的英语学*能力，学*更多的词汇。学*不可能一蹴而就，全靠每天努力学*，我们学*英语的重点分为单词，语法，听力这三方面。
对于单词，我们就应该多记多背，单词需要每天记忆，而且需要重复记忆，如果你当天记住了这个单词，但你却不愿意一直复*，总会有一天忘记。我们除了学*新单词，更要复*已经学过的单词，现在我们需要学*的单词比较少，那我们就应该把他们完全掌握。比如我们每天学*十个单词，两天后我们就必须要再次温*我们学过的单词，如果这样感觉记忆非常累，那么我们可以通过阅读英语文章来加强单词记忆，并且每天坚持，只要我们每天都按时学*，掌握更多的单词我们的基础就能够打牢固，这样就方便了接下来的学*。
掌握了单词后，我们就应该认真学*语法，毕竟西方的说话*惯，与我们不同，而且表达的意思也有出入，我们不但要掌握各种句型，更要明白如何运用，现在有很多有关语法的'书籍可以供我们参考，老师上课所讲的语法比较少，我们也可以利用时间多学一些语法，学*语法不但可以让我们掌握英语说话*惯，也能够让我们复*巩固所学的单词。对我们的帮助很大。练*语法的最好办法，就是多做题，通过不同的题型练*自己的语法熟练度，而且各种语法我们必须要背诵掌握下来，当我们记住的语法多了，*惯成自然，就不会觉得这些语法难以接受。
在英语考试中听力是锻炼我们英语沟通能力，如果我们学*了英语，却不会用英语沟通，而且别人说的英语自己也听不懂，那不是等于没学吗。我们之所以学*英语最主要的目的就是为了更好沟通，所以想要练*自己的听力，我们不但要多听英语磁带，更要多说，要纠正自己的发音，勤学苦练中能够学到更多。每天不能忘记自己的学*任务，坚持学*。可以利用早自*时间好好练*。
其实说来说去都离不开一点，那就是勤奋，学英语要勤奋，而且要学会利用时间，毕竟英语是一门语言，我们要掌握这门语言，就必须要勤加练*，多记多背。

Today the topic of my impromtu speech is that home is where the heart is. Home is the harbor of both our body and mind. Home is the never ever changed inner sustenance. Many people may say that where there is home, there is heart, but I want to say that where there is heart, there is home. Concerning this saying, I have three points to back me up.
Regarding the first point, if only we have love, and care for the parents sincerely, then home is just there near us. We still can be together if our hearts are connected. The reason why home is so important to us is that there are our beloved parents waiting for us. No matter how far we are away from home, their solicitude is always there. In the same way, whether we are near at hand or far away at the end of the world.

And till I come to the junior high school I had a dream I hope I can become a good childI can be praised by my family when I return home;can be sure by teachers at school; and can have a outstanding performance among the classmates shortly afterwards I had learned to struggle. However at my high school every day is bustling Sometimes bad temper is too strong to be controlled but life made me understand the truth to conduct myself slowly。Fortunately I worked hard every day I got up early and went to bed late grasp myself and never lighten up.
All day，all the time I am searching hardly and fight for a bright future.
