there is a very beautiful river in paris.it is the seine，it runs across the city，people drink coffee, chat on the bank in the day，at night，they enjoy the beautiful scenery in the boat，songs from the river fly into the sky made the river more attractive, the seine is a famous symbol of france;on the west coast of pacific ocean there lies the modern city shanghai，another river which used to be a very important transportation route runs through the center of the city，people respected and regard it as"mother".it is the"suzhou river，but l believe that few of you would sit beside it，people will be scattered by the terrible smell of water when walk by.i have to say it is extremely dirty! and we all know that a lot of beautiful rivers in the world also are sharing the same fate with suzhou river. who is the devil? i can't help asking.

A dream
I remember when I was young; my mother often described the beauty of the grasslands through this poem: “tian cang cang, ye mang mang,feng chui cao di xian niu yang”. it means in English “Clear skies, sweeping plains, the grass bowing before the wind, revealing grazing horses and sheep.” I could recite this even before entering primary school.
16years ago, my mother visited one of the grassland of Inner Mongolia. She said that no words could describe it’s stunning natural charm. With her description firmly printed on my mind I began to long for a tour to the grassland.
Sadly, this marvelous image that I had in my mind changed completely when my mum and I visited the grassland a year ago. As soon as we got there, I couldn’t believe my eyes. What was in front of me was just a piece of land with loosely grown grass. In the far distance I saw only a couple of horses feeding lazily. I asked my mother: “Where is the lush, tall grass?” As puzzled as me, she said nothing. I was shocked to see the differences between the grassland in my dream and what was in front of me.
On the way home, I thought a lot and tried to find answers.
Now I am old enough to bring awareness to other people and share my dream for the grasslands. Overgrazing and extensive farming have ruined the grassland and so taken away the charm of our homeland. But I am confident that one day the grasslands will recover and its true wealth and beauty will be realized as long as everybody gives his contribution to restore our homeland.
Love my homeland, because I love her beautiful landscape. (examples).but why can’t we absorb the meaningful western holidays and culture. there are obvious reasons why some western holidays are so popular in china. on the one hand, some of the western holidays which we chinese don’t have are reasonable and meaningful, such as father’s day and april fool’s day etc. on the other hand,the prevalence of globalization enables western culture to prevail in china. overwhelmed by such a trend,chinese unconsiciously get involved in western holidays and culture.

on my birthday two years ago, many special things happened on me. and i would
remember them forever.
that morning, i rode my bike to school happily as usual. on my way to the
classroom, i saw some of my classmates. but when they saw me, they rushed away. that made me confused. because they would talk to me or play jokes on me before. but it was strange today.

Once I took part in a birthday party of my classmate. It was really such a great time that I went home with a pretty happy look. In the evening, I wrote some memories of this evening in my diary. But my mother peeked at my diary, which I never ever had expected. I felt so sad that I couldn’t help arguing with her. I even shouted at her, "How can you look at my dairy!"
Then a cold war happened between us and lasted for almost a week. I finally apologized to her for my arguing, and my mother also promised not to peek at my diary any more. Luckily, my mother and I learned to understand each other from then on. Thanks very much for your attention.
Today the topic of my impromtu speech is that when it is dark enough, you can see the stars. I can’t agree with this saying more. In my opinion, Darkness is about the frustrations. “enough” is about the effort and the “stars” are the hopes, dreams or success. So this saying teaches me three things, making my objective and direction clear, being prepared for wrestling with frustrations and difficulties and importantly, keeping in faith. So, I have three points to support my opinion.
First, we should make our objective and direction clear before we set out. We can’t see the stars during the day time. Is it because that there are no stars here? Of cause not. The stars are over there in the sky all the time. We can’t see them because they are hidden behind the sunlignt. So, we shouldnot waste our time. Rather, we should turn to the night to find our stars. So before we set out for our dreams. It’s very important to know what exactly we want and which direction to go to find it.
Second, we should be prepared for wresting with frustrations and difficulties. We can’t expect that the way to our objective are smooth and easy. In the darkness, we may feel cold, lonely and be afraid of some unexpected frustrations, just as on the way to our dreams and success. But, only in darkness could we see the stars. Similarly, only by experiencing harships and setbacks can we be clear about our goals and objectives. So, we should be not afraid of the difficulties we have to experience. Rather, we should hold a positive attitude to fully prepared for them.
The last but not the least point is that we should keep in faith and don’t give up. Sometime we may feel disappointed after having been working hard for such a long time but still can’t reach our dreams. But, we shouldn’t give up and instead we should just keep in faith. May be our efforts are not enough. We need to work hard and keep waiting for a little bit longer, and we will see the hope soon.
To conclude, if we choose the stars, we should be aware that we choose the darkness, too. if we want to enjoy the stars, make every efforts we can to defeat our fear to the darkness and keep in faith on ourselves. In the end, we will surly see our own stars.

Today the topic of my impromtu speech is that home is where the heart is. Home is the harbor of both our body and mind. Home is the never ever changed inner sustenance. Many people may say that where there is home, there is heart, but I want to say that where there is heart, there is home. Concerning this saying, I have three points to back me up.

Everybody has his dream job. I also have my dream job. My dream is to work for foreign tourists as a tour guide.
Why do I want to be a tour guide? First of all, I'm an outgoing girl, and I like doing some exciting things. Maybe being a tour guide is the best choice. If I become a tour guide, I can travel all around China, and know more about our country. Then I will tell the foreign tourists about our colorful history. Second, I like making friends. If I work as a tour guide, I can make a lot of friends all over the world. This may be great.

Opening Statement mr. chairman, senator thurmond, members of the commi*, my name is anita f. hill, and i am a professor of law at the university of oklahoma. i was born on a farm in okmulgee county, oklahoma, in1956. i am the youngest of13children. i had my early education in okmulgee county. my father, albert hill, is a farmer in that area. my mother"s name is irma hill. she is also a farmer and a housewife.
my childhood was one of a lot of hard work and not much money, but it was one of solid family affection, as represented by my parents. i was reared in a religious atmosphere in the baptist faith, and i have been a member of the antioch baptist church in tulsa, oklahoma, since1983. it is a very warm part of my life at the present time.
for my undergraduate work, i went to oklahoma state university and graduated from there in1977. i am attaching to this statement a copy of my resume for further details of my education.
i graduated from the university with academic honors and proceeded to the yale law school, where i received my jd degree in1980. upon graduation from law school, i became a practicing lawyer with the washington, dc, firm of ward, hardraker, and ross.
in1981, i was introduced to now judge thomas by a mutual friend. judge thomas told me that he was anticipating a political appointment, and he asked if i would be interested in working with him. he was, in fact, appointed as assistant secretary of education for civil rights. after he had taken that post, he asked if i would become his assistant, and i accepted that position.
in my early period there, i had two major projects. the first was an article i wrote for judge thomas" signature on the education of minority students. the second was the organization of a seminar on high-risk students which was abandoned because judge thomas transferred to the eeoc where he became the chairman of that office.
during this period at the department of education, my working relationship with judge thomas was positive. i had a good deal of responsibility and independence. i thought he respected my work and that he trusted my judgment. after approximately three months of working there, he asked me to go out socially with him.
what happened next and telling the world about it are the two most difficult things -- experiences of my life. it is only after a great deal of agonizing consideration and sleepless number -- a great number of sleepless nights that i am able to talk of these unpleasant * to anyone but my close friends.
i declined the invitation to go out socially with him and explained to him that i thought it would jeopardize what at the time i considered to be a very good working relationship. i had a normal social life with other men outside of the office. i believed then, as now, that having a social relationship with a person who was supervising my work would be ill-advised. i was very uncomfortable with the idea and told him so.
i thought that by saying no and explaining my reasons my employer would abandon his social suggestions. however, to my regret, in the following few weeks, he continued to ask me out on several occasions. he pressed me to justify my reasons for saying no to him. these incidents took place in his office or mine. they were in the form of private conversations which would not have been overheard by anyone else.
my working relationship became even more strained when judge thomas began to use work situations to discuss sex. on these occasions, he would call me into his office for reports on education issues and projects, or he might suggest that, because of the time pressures of his schedule, we go to lunch to a government cafeteria. after a brief discussion of work, he would turn the conversation to a discussion of sexual *.
his conversations were very vivid. he spoke about acts that he had seen in *ographic films involving such * as women having sex with animals and films showing group sex or rape scenes. he talked about *ographic materials depicting individuals with large penises or large breasts involved in various sex acts. on several occasions, thomas told me graphically of his own sexual prowess.
because i was extremely uncomfortable talking about sex with him at all and particularly in such a graphic way, i told him that i did not want to talk about these subjects. i would also try to change the subject to education * or to nonsexual personal * such as his background or his beliefs. my efforts to change the subject were rarely successful.

每年的春天，万物复苏，人们都会走出家门放风筝。望着这满天的风筝，我们可曾想过：是不是我们的梦想也可以像这风筝一样放飞呢?
给大家讲一个故事：一个*凡的乡村邮差，每天都会在来回的路上拾一些石子，人们问他为什么做这样无聊的事，他说，他要建一座自己的城堡。他一天一天坚持不懈，日复一日，年复一年，当乡里的人们早已忘了这事时，一座美丽的城堡已经建成了，这就是邮差的城堡，他梦想的城堡。这就是梦想的力量。如果心中有了一个梦想而永不改变，朝着这个方向去努力，不管路上有多大的困难与坎坷，都不要望而却步，梦想总会实现。
在我们每个人的心里，都有一个梦想，但是，生活中却有这样的人：某个人想要考上名牌大学，如果他天天只说不做，大家想想，他的梦想能实现吗?当然，这个梦想只会是一个妄想。我们要行动起来，把梦想分为一个个小目标，大到一学期，小到一天24小时。比如说：今天作业得优，月考要在全班前5名…一个个小目标拉*你和梦想的距离，总有一天，会到达梦想的彼岸。
月考即将来临，同学们都在热火朝天地学*，这正是我们放飞梦想的时候，趁着现在，我们一起努力奋斗，实现梦想，放飞梦想吧!

您好！
我是初一年级xx班xxx，今天我在这里演讲，这是我的荣幸，感谢大家，我演讲的题目是《节能减排，保护我们生存的环境》。
大家还记得以前的环境吗？那时候还没有这样的好生活，但是我们生存的这个环境却是很美好的，天空一片蓝，水一片纯净，大地一片绿意，可现在随着时代的发展，已经不再了，再去回想那段日子，总觉得可惜，因为已经离我们远去了，那么好的环境。那时候我们呼吸的空气都是清新的，可如今的空气就不是以前那样干净了。空中飞着的灰尘、路边树木上的尘土 ，无不昭示着环境被破坏的那么糟糕。
我们想要回到过去那样好的环境或者更好的，就要从现在开始去守护这个环境。我们要节能减排，现在的能源是无尽的开采这个地球才有的，所有的能源，水能、煤、风能、太阳能和石油、天然气等等，这些都是依靠这自然环境开采出来的，这些能源并不都是无限开采的，像石油、天然气、煤都是有限的'，它们都是不可再生的能源，如果现在不节约使用，以后就只能坐吃山空，没了就是没了，何况我们还有未来千万子孙，现在不节约，以后到了子孙辈就没有了。这些都是大自然赋予我们的，我们有责任去守护好，只有自己做到节约，才是真的有更大的机会守住更多的能源。
节能就是我们离家随手关闭电源，少开空调，不要浪费水，做到一种水多种用处，充分利用它。*时上学或者工作都尽量坐公交或者坐自行车，不远的路程就步行，少开私家车，因为私家车费汽油，而且排放的尾气容易污染环境。减排就是减少环境有害物质的排放，像废水不要直接排放进海河里，容易污染水资源，要经过处理才能排放。现在的生活是付出这个环境的代价才有的。我们作为初中生，在这方面是很容易做到的，我们家离学校不是很远，完全可以步行到学校，不用坐车的。
所以同学们，我们要一起守护这个环境，我们即使是个学生，也能够做到节能减排，做一些小事情就能够为生存环境节约能源和减少污染物排放。新时代，我们一起行动吧，把自然变得更加美好，为自己以后的生活开始做准备吧。

新学期，为我们提供了崭新的园地，我们要为自己制定一份计划。成功的道路要由汗水铺通，征途绝非一帆风顺，但我们的心里也要有忠贞不渝的追求，朝气蓬勃的热情，脚踏实地的努力，持之以恒的攀登。在困难和挫折面前，你还相信自己的能力吗？
有一个故事这么说，能够到达金字塔顶端的只有两种动物，一是雄鹰，靠自己的天赋和翅膀飞了上去。在北大清华里就有很多雄鹰式的人物，很多同学学*不需要太努力就能达到高峰。很多同学后来可能很轻松地就能在北大毕业以后进入哈佛、耶鲁、牛津、剑桥这样的名牌大学继续深造。有很多同学身上充满了天赋，不需要学*就有这样的才能。但是，大家也都知道，有另外一种动物，也到了金字塔的顶端。那就是蜗牛。蜗牛肯定只能是爬上去。从低下爬到上面可能要一个月、两个月，甚至一年、两年。在金字塔顶端，人们确实找到了蜗牛的痕迹。我相信蜗牛绝对不会一帆风顺地爬上去，一定会掉下来、再爬、掉下来、再爬。但是，大家所要知道的是，蜗牛只要爬到金字塔顶端，它眼中所看到的世界，它收获的成就，跟雄鹰是一模一样的。所以，也许我们在座的同学有的是雄鹰，有的是蜗牛。我一直认为我只是一只蜗牛，但是我一直在爬，现在虽然还没有爬到金字塔的顶端，但是我相信只要还在爬，就足以给自己留下令生命感动的日子。
有的同学可能还是羡慕雄鹰式的人物，抱怨自己太普通，没有一目十行的本领，没有超强的记忆力。据最新一期《科学美国人》杂志报道，家住盐湖城，现年54岁的男子皮克精通从文学到历史在内的`15门学科，他能一字不漏地背诵至少9000本书的内容，他能背出圆周率小数点后二万多位。他仅用一个小时就看完了长篇小说《猎杀红色十月》，4个月后，当让他说出书中一个次要人物姓名时，他竟能一字不差地将整段相关情节都背诵了出来。但就是这样一个天才记忆者，至今也不会自己穿衣服。他对穿衣服、系纽扣这样的小事感到相当困难，其能力只相当于一个3岁小孩。因为他是一个自闭症的患者，好莱坞电影《雨人》就是以他为原型创作的。
上帝是个精明的生意人，给你一分天才就搭配几倍于天才的苦难。我们无需总盯着别人的春风得意马蹄疾，我们更不需什么超强记忆力，我们欠缺的仅是一份100%行动力！行动力对个人而言，它就是超强的自制力，能够去突破自己，实现自己想做而不敢去做的，或者是自己认为自己能力不足的事，制定计划就下定决心一定要去实现。大家都是人，都有一个脑袋、两只手，智力都差不多。只努力，方法得当，那么什么事都能办到的。

海伦·凯勒有这样一句非常形象而生动的话：“当一个人感觉到有高飞的冲动时，他将再也不会满足于在地上爬。”正是有了远大的理想，正是有一种信念，她接受了生命的挑战，创造了生命的'奇迹。
她，盲聋哑集于一身的弱女子竟然毕业于哈佛大学，并用生命的全部力量奔走呼告，建起了一家家慈善机构，为残疾人造福，被评选为20世纪美国十大英雄偶像。理想和信念像熊熊燃烧的烈火使她才走出黑暗，走出死寂，理想和信念像巨大的羽翼，帮助她飞上云天。
从某种意义上说，人不是活在物质世界里，而是活在精神世界里，活在理想与信念之中。对于人的生命而言，要存活，只要一碗饭，一杯水就可以了；但是要想活得精彩，就要有精神，就要有远大的理想和坚定的信念。
理想信念使贫困的人变成富翁，使黑暗中的人看见光明，使绝境中的人看到希望，使梦想变成现实。
同学们，不管你现在的成绩怎么样，不管你现在的基础怎么样，只要坚定信念，超越自我，你就有了努力的方向，你就有了奋斗的目标，你就有了生活的动力，你就有了成功的希望！
谁要是游戏人生，他就一事无成；谁不能主宰自己，永远是一个奴隶。
我曾经听过这样一个故事：一艘满载乘客的大轮船在海口失火沉没，许多人都失去了生命，只有九十多人生还。乘客中有一个游泳专家来回游了十几次，在连续救起了二十人后因过度劳累，双脚严重抽筋而导致残废，必须终生坐轮椅。几年后，在他生日那天，有人问他，一生中最深刻的记忆是什么?他伤感的说：“我最记得，在被我救起的二十个人中，没有一个来向我道谢。”
是啊!生活中有多少这样的事情，我们难以说得清。英雄流血又流泪，是我们不愿看到的。因此，我们必须学会感恩。
感恩是小德，忘恩是大恶，生活中，总会有许多事情影响着我们的情绪，或喜、或忧。于是，选择一种什么样的心态去面对生活，也就选择了过一种什么样的生活。感恩，即是指一种生活的态度。
别人对自己不好，是生活在暗示我们自身有所缺陷，有待改进;别人对自己好，是生活在告诉我们要让更多的人喜欢，须再接再厉，更进一步。学会感恩，不要去记得对你不好的人。学会感恩，懂得知恩图报，滴水之恩当涌泉相报。学会感恩，懂得给别人机会就是给自己机会，赠人玫瑰，手留余香，今天拉人一把，明天陷入困境，也会有人拉自己一把。学会感恩，对生活时时保持微笑，生活也会同样还你微笑。
学生学会感恩，教师便能体会桃李满园的甘甜;孩子学会感恩，父母便能享受天伦之乐的温馨;人人学会感恩，我们便能感受到社会大家庭的.温暖;万物学会感恩，世界将会变得五彩缤纷。

在这片年轻的`战场上，我们渴望成功，追求成功，努力成为战场上的胜利者.那么，什么是成功的武器呢?是我们风华正茂的年龄，是“立志博学 修身报国”的理想和信念.请记住汪国真先生的一句话：没有比脚更长的路，没有比人更高的山!用青春的热血/给自己/树起一个高远的目标吧!不仅是为了争取一次成功，更是为了追求一种境界.目标实现了，即是成功，目标实现不了，亦是充实和经验.
在这片年轻的战场上，除了成为美丽光环下的胜利者，我们更要成为一名真正的强者!.然而这又谈何容易!(稍停)即使理想无比坚定，也会有脆弱，动摇的时候.面对学*成绩的下降，我/也曾心力交瘁过。(渐强)我彷徨过，动摇过，甚至/想过放弃!(慢)然而，当宿舍的电话铃声响起的时候，当妈妈用她那依然温柔的声音喊我乳名的时候，我的心坚定了。我想起了父母的期望，老师的鼓励，同学的信任----还有什么理由再消沉下去呢?于是，我又重新拾起那最初的梦想和志向!(停顿)人生无志，就如船行无舵.古人常讲“三军可以夺帅，匹夫不可夺志”“古之立大事者，不惟有超世之才，亦必有坚忍不拔之志” (停顿)***年少时立下“为中华之崛起而读书”的大志，为党和人民做出了巨大贡献.爱国主义诗人屈原放逐途中仍不失志，他的“路漫漫其修远兮，吾将上下而求索” 更是激励了许多后人.

端午，白日，枕着艾草做梦。我的胃里，一个蜜枣的粽子，正试图和古代息息相通，三千年前的粽子不是太甜，是太苦，需要用汩罗江的水来解苦，但滔滔江水太远，救不了*渴，就是今天，一个声音告诉我，我是屈原的孩子，我的笔应该和屈原的血脉相连。但是我怎么也写不出，一只粽子如何香飘十里，粽子淡淡的清香，在艾草的苦味中飘浮。
笛声悠远，麦子饱满，汩罗江边，先生那愁苦悲愤的面容，记忆犹新。兴楚无望，为保高洁，你愤然跳入汩罗江。你那悲壮的一跃，让泪流满面的诗句，飘散成绵延千年的梅雨，淋湿了后人的思念。滔滔江水化作奔涌的激流，你大笔一挥，《离骚》、《天问》、《九歌》等不朽的诗篇，而你独自踏浪而去，让好多记忆日渐冷却，只留下一圈圈涟漪，荡漾成五月的'一个风俗，至今还依然震撼着世人的心灵。
端午节，传承了一种情怀，悲壮而凄美，气吞山河。它向世人所传达的，是一个诗人忧国忧民、热爱故土的高尚风格。端午节，沉淀了一种精神，厚重而坚固，历久弥新。它向世人所阐述的，是一个勇士不畏暴虐、坚持斗争的伟大壮举。两千多年以来，端午节所特有的这种情怀和精神，从来未曾改变。

现在天气炎热起来了，在这么一个炎炎季节当中我们一定要注意安全，注意预防中暑，还有就是预防溺水，这两件事情是现在主要任务，我们需要落实好，生命只有一次，大家都是一样的，千万不要逞强，新闻上面报道的一些溺水情况绝对不是危言耸听，同学们我们要自觉起来，不要感觉自己水性好就可以下水嬉戏游泳什么的，今天我就是重点来讲一下这个问题。
在这个天气我们除了要做好防暑工作之外，要注意千万别下水洗澡，有的时候我就能够看到这种现象，在塘里面，水库里面有些人就肆无忌惮的在嬉戏，这样的现象是非常危险的，我们不能欧股模仿，这种情况危机生命安全，在生活当中保障自身的生面安全是主要的'，我们作为一名初中学生了，这种基本的安全问题是不需要一再的提醒了，老师也是经常跟我们讲到这个问题，所以说无论是在什么时候都不能忽视这种细节，在生活学*当中一定要注意安全，还是刚刚说到的，任何时候都不能以自己水性好就下水游泳，不知道意外什么时候来，危险时刻都是存在的，所以同学们我们千万要自觉一点了。
很多血淋淋的例子都摆在眼前，每年溺水的人那么多，我们千万不能抱有侥幸心理，作为一名学生还是要把自己的安全放在第一位，学校也是非常重视的，经常都会跟我们做这类安全的讲座，我们早就应该有这种意识了，虽然夏天的到来，现在也是越来越炎热，我们应该有用一个正确的方式解暑，私自下水洗澡绝对是下策，这是非常危险的，生命的脆弱我们应该清楚，这种例子笔笔皆是，同学们我们一定要重视起来，忽视对自己的要求就是蔑视自身的安全，未来还是要做好充分的准备，给自己加油打气，不管用一个什么样的方式都应该去遵守这些规定，溺水是我们不得不防的，作为一名学生就应该清楚身边潜在这写危险，一切最终还是需要我们自觉。

你们好！进入冬季后，天气寒冷，是感冒的多发季节，如果我们不注意身体，就很容易着凉，生病了，那我们可以怎样预防感冒呢？对啦，我们要做一个坚强、勇敢、不怕寒冷的好孩子。冬天来了，我们早上还是要早早起床，坚持上幼儿园，天气寒冷，我们小朋友要多进行体育锻炼，比如，在户外跑步、拍球、跳绳、做游戏等等，多做运动，身体就会发热，就会战胜寒冷，各种病菌就不敢来找我们的麻烦了。
冬季天气寒冷干燥，我们的`皮肤容易出现干裂发痒，只要我们讲究卫生、多晒太阳，多吃蔬菜、水果，多喝开水，并常用热水洗手洗脸，适当搽点护肤霜，我们就能远离疾病成为一个健康快乐的小朋友了。天气冷了，但是我们也不能只顾着保暖，还要多开窗通风，不能让室内的空气不流通，那样容易感冒，也不能因为天冷了，就不锻炼身体，早上也不能因为天冷，就躲在被窝里不肯起床，不肯来幼儿园，或者每天来幼儿园都迟到，天气再怎么冷，我们都不应该害怕，而是应该对着冬天说，天冷我不怕。
希望你们在寒冷的我们每天都参加体育锻炼，像冬天里不怕寒冷的小松树一样健康茁壮地成长！

再忙再紧张的人，也应该有停下来看云彩的时间。
适当地放松自己，不管是对调整自己目前不佳的状态，还是对自己大脑的休整都有着极大的帮助。这能够帮助我们获得一个更好的状态去面对生活中的每一件事，也就是说，它帮助我们把事情做得更出色。
谁不想拥有更好的成绩？谁不想赢得周围人的赞许？所以，在紧张的学*生活中，别忘了给自己留出一个放松的时间。也许只是听一首歌的时间，也许只是看一会儿风景的时间，也许只是散一圈步的时间，甚至也许，只是一个深呼吸的时间。不管怎么说，放松的`时间——相信我，绝不会占用你太多的时间。虽然可能只是一小会儿，但是，它能保证你这一天都元气十足！

As a middle school student , I am proud of the prosperity of my motherland , while also worried about the environmental problems we are facing . I am eager to do something to make my motherland more beautiful , so I have already taken actions . I have put up signs asking people not to step on grasses in my school and I have helped plant trees in the park . I have also called on my classmates to help clean the nearby neighborhood on volunteering day .

I’m so proud of being one of the best players in the world. but could you believe i had been a lazy girl when i was in junior high. i’m not kidding! at that time, running was my last favorite. i really don’t know how to describe the first time i was on the track. it was horrible. when i started to run, i was sim*** out of breath. and while i touched the finishing line, i really didn’t know if i was still alive. it’s so funny, huh? but it’s true, i did.
Well, something happened and changed the situation. we won the right of holding the olympic games in 2015. after that, sports became a kind of game in campus. and there are many sports clubs in school. one day someone asked me:“are you gonna try one of those?”first i felt so wired.
“Try to get into sports clubs? are you kidding?” i said. and she goes: “why not? it’s not hard at all, and so fascinating!” so i did tried one and i was so lucky to become one of those who did orienteering. that is a fantastic sport! you need to run and find where to go just by using a map and a compass. it’s wasn’t popular in china at first. but when we heard it might become a new event in 2015, we did practiced hard, and aimed to win the first champion of orienteering in the world. when we practiced, there were a lot of troubles. you know, sometimes you need to go with your feet, but sometimes you need to go with your heart. in some situations, we faced the difficulties and problems. and we need to solve that through teamwork and strong willpower. so we can run faster, go higher and be stronger. that is what we sayolympic spirit.
Now the dream came true. i’m standing here with all my body and my heart put in sports. so do the people from all over the world to here at the olympic games. it’s the olympic games that make us together. we are here for a big day of sport; we are here for a dream of sports. we are here for a spirit of sport that encourages us to face the difficulties of today and tomorrow.
As you slowly open your eyes, look around , notice where the light comes into your room; listen carefully, see if there are new sounds you can recognize; feel with your body and spirit, and see if you can sense the freshness in the air. Yes, yes, yes, it’s a new day, it’s a different day, and it’s a bright day! And most importantly, it is a new beginning for your life, a beginning where you are going to make new desicisions, take new actions, make new friends, and take your life to a totally unprecedented level! You know all this is real as long as you are confident,passionate and committed! And you are confident, you are passionate, you are committed!
You will no longer fear making new sounds, showing new facial expressions, using your body in new ways,approaching new people, and asking new questions. Another way of reducing the amount of rubbish you create is to use reusable products instead of disposable ones. For example, some people use strong shopping bags or boxes for their groceries instead of plastic carrier bags, or use washable nappies instead of disposables.
