This step is not to present the new words one by one,just with the help of the CAI and the

The CAI show a big picture.There are many places in the picture,and there are different

vehicles in the way to the different places.Ask them to guess and give them a smiling face or a crying face.There can be a competition between the groups.Using the structure: Shall we go to … by…?

2.Work in pairs

Ask them to make a dialogue with their partners.They can speak to several classmates who they want to co-operate with,so they can walk freely in the class.

This part is very important of the lesson.The Ss? abilities of speaking and communication will be well trained.Use the CAI to set a real surrounding and encourage the Ss to communicate with the others.They can say loudly and freely .They will feel happy and successful during this part.By way of communication ,the Ss will understanding the meaning of the structure better and master the knowledge firmly.(这部分在这一课中非常重要,因为在这一环节中学生说和与别人交流的能力将会得到很好的锻炼。用多媒体创设真实情境,鼓励学生与他人进行交流。他们可以大声自由的说英语。在这过_他们会体验到快乐和成功。通过与别人的交流,真实的语言运用,学生对重点句型的意义用法也有了很好的理解,这将促使他们牢固地掌握所学的知识。)

(一)说教材

SEFC Bl L37是对话课,对话课是单元整体教学的重要环节。作为单元的第一课,对话课的作用首先是为第二、三课提供话题和语境。由于整个单元都是围绕一个话题操练特定的功能项目,对话课又具有为二、三课的学*扫清语言和文化障碍的作用。

随着科学技术的发展,各种各样新的发明和发现都层出不穷。生活在这样一个知识爆炸的年代,学生们更应用心去体会并感受科技和发明创造者给生活带来的变化,进而能联想到他们*时所学的学科及知识,并用英语为媒介进行知识的整合与串联。同时从另一个角度来说,科技进步的同时,我们的社会也产生了各种各样的矛盾与争论,因此如何正确的看待或处理这些问题,也成为广大学生应该了解并掌握的知识。

本单元的设计与实施是建立在学生经过高一上半学期新教材学*基础之上。学生已经逐步的适应了在活动与任务中学*英语以及如何处理语言知识与活动开展的关系。并且,他们也已经形成并培养了一定的小组合作学*及自主学*的能力。

本单元的中心话题是science and scientists。话题依附于听力、对话、阅读与写作等语言载体中。本单元的话题内容与学生的日常学*有着密切的关系,应该说是以英语为媒体让学生表达他们对*时理化生等理科课程,特别是相关实验,所想到及感受到的内容。因此,尽管本单元的话题对学生而言有着一定的难度,但却有体现出了以学生为中心,贴*学生生活而又富有时代气息的特点。

Warming up设计了四幅与学生的理科课程有关的图片,学生通过对日常熟悉的相干实验工具及场地的识别,展开相关学科特点与学*的讨论。同时在此基础上,要求学生们在Listening部分能熟悉某些实验室的规则及注意事项,掌握如何给予别人指导与说明,并能抓住文章的中心话题,捕捉相关细节内容,回答有关的问题。

Speaking则是一个极富时代气息的讨论练*。要求学生们能对现在热门的尖端科技有所了解,(练*中提供了诸如Maglev train, cloning, nuclear energy, computer 与 space flight等内容)然后能就这些新的科学技术与工具进行理性的辨证的思考,既能感受到它们给我们的生活带来的巨大利益,同时也能发现其中所存在的不足与弊端,并能通过讨论、对话等形式发表自己的观点与想法。这一部分也应该是本单元写作内容的一个铺垫。

Reading讲述的是科学家 Franklin的风筝实验,从而证明Lighting and electricity are the same的故事。学生在理解文章的基础上,能充分感受到实验对于科学工作的重要性及科学家是如何获得事业上的成功的。同时能落实材料中所出现的一些单词与短语的使用。

Language Study是在本单元词汇学*的基础上,让学生进一步了解并掌握一定的构词法。主要是兼类词、一词多义现象及合成词的构成。

The reading passage “A Student of African Wildlife” is talked later and my talk consists of 4 parts. Part 1, my understanding of the material. Part 2, teaching approaches. Part 3, preparations before class. Part 4, teaching procedure.

First,  let me introduce the reading passage. It is the center of this unit’s teaching and learning. It is made up of 4 paragraphs, that is, one day’s observing chimps with Jane in the forest; how Jane did her research and her achievements; Jane’s love towards animals and her contributions to animal protection; and a short summary to her. By learning this lesson, the students can not only understand women’s status in society and everyday life, their values and contributions, their difficulties and achievements, but also learn how to use some words, phrases and sentence patterns. Of course, the students can practise their reading skills, such as skimming, scanning and careful reading.

The  students will be asked to just glance at the title and the two pictures in the book, and then guess what they will read in the text. And they’ll be divided into groups of four to have a discussion.

This  activity is to inspire the students to read actively, not passively. Surveys show that active reading can raise the readers’ interest and reading efficiency. The  students are required to scan the text quickly and find out specific information of the following questions.

By  doing this activity, the students can improve their reading skill—scanning. And they can get the two lines of the whole passage, the main line—student, and the hidden line—wildlife. It builds a solid base for the latter reading comprehension.

For  paragraph 1: Video watching and completing a diagram

Get  the students to watch a short video of Jane’s research with chimps.

This  paragraph is a description of what Jane and her partners did in the forest. The video can turn the description in words into images. So it seems as if the students themselves went into the forest. Then a diagram will be shown to the students. It contains the main actions of the chimps. They have to complete it. By these two changes, the students can master the important words, phrases and sentences better.

For  paragraphs 2-3: Retelling job

These  two paragraphs are relatively long, so the students may have difficulties in classifying the content. Therefore I divided all the sentences into 3 aspects, that is, Jane’s difficulties, her discoveries and her contributions. According to the key words, they have to retell it.

By  doing this activity, I can train the students’ language organizing ability to meet the demands of the new curriculum.

For  paragraph 4: Question answering

It  is a short summary to Jane and implies that women can do what they want to do as men. This paragraph is relatively short and easy to understand. So the questions are fairly easy and will be offered to the less talented students.

教学过程

1.热身(Warm-up) Let’s start

(1) 教师说:Today I go to school by bike/bus.Usually I go to school by bike/bus. 教师利用肢体动作帮助学生理解句子意思。然后问学生:What about you?Do you go by bike or by bus?Do you go on foot?Or by car?师生之间自由会话,引出几种常见的交通方式。

(2)自由会话之后,教师继续说:There are many ways to go somewhere.Look at these pictures.Do you know what they are?引导学生看本课时Let’s start部分的标图并回答问题。

2. 预*(Preview)

(1)复*频度副词:always,usually,often,sometimes,never的tob_id_3091读音与词义。有关活 动可借鉴五年级下册教师教学用书第一单元。

(2)Let’s chant 教师放本课时Let’s chant部分的录音,学生先静听一遍,再跟录音轻声吟唱一遍。教师再放录音,带着学生一起边唱边做动作:唱到on foot时,全班跺跺脚;唱到by Car/bike/bus/plane/train的时候,学生举起自己带来的玩具。然后教师根据歌谣内容随机出示Let’s learn部分的单词卡片加深学生印象,全班学生再跟录音边唱边做一遍。

3. 新课呈现(Presentation) Let’s learn

(1)教师拿出一辆玩具自行车,自问自答:,How do I go to school?I go to school by bike.'并在黑板上写下:by bike。教师再重复刚才的句子并问某一学生:0jWhat about you?How do you go to school?’’学生如果回答:,Me too!'教师就继续问下一名学生,直到有不同答案,教师帮助学生说出完整的句子:,I go。。to school by…'并将相应的短语写在黑板上。

(2)看短语贴卡片游戏 教师依次出示画着不同交通工具的短语卡片,让学生迅速地贴在黑板上的,by’’短语旁边,教师领读短语和句子,l go to school by…'

(3),快速反应'游戏 教师说出某个短语,如:by bike,让学生做相应的动作或迅速举起相应的道具(单词卡片)并说出句子,如:I go to school by bike.

(4)教师拿出刚才学生可能没有提到的交通工具的图片,如:by plane/subway/ ship/boat等,呈现和练*这些短语。然后指着课本上的配图问:,What can you see in the pictures?'注意引导学生,尤其是农村学生理解,地铁'的。含义:,It’s an underground railway in a city.It travels very fast.'教师领读新学短语。

(5)学生听录音,跟读Let’s learn部分的内容。教师注意纠正学生的语音、语调

(6)教师引导学生进行单词的拼读竞赛。可空出单词中的元音字母让学生填写,也可打乱组成单词的字母的顺序,让学生重新排序,组成单词。

(7)教师还可利用学生卡片背面的灰体词引导学生进行单词描红,学生边描边读,看谁又快又好。 Let’s play 教师请学生制作简易的单词卡片,一摞是地点,比如:school,Beijing,the US,the moon等;另一摞是交通方式,比如:by ship,by bike,by train等。教师鼓励!生大胆想象出行方式和所去地点。然后学生两人结对进行句型操练,一人问,How do you go to Beijing/the USA/the moon?'另一学生给出答案:,I go by train/plane/spaceship.'对于词汇表述上有困难的学生,教师要及时地提供帮助。对一些特别有创意的想法,教师可以写在黑板上加以鼓励。

4. 巩固和延伸(Consolidation and extension)

(1)Main scene 教师引导学生看主情景图,说出其中表现的交通方式。学生多能说出:on foot by bike,by subway。如有学生问及小丑骑的独轮车以及幼儿骑的三轮儿童车教师可补充说明那分别是unicycle和tricycle;而自行车bike的另一说法:bicycle,意为两轮车。

(2)学生做Let’s learn部分的活动手册配套练*;教师指导学生规范书写。新学伊始,教师非常有必要对学生重申一下书写的要求。
