晚上,我和姐姐放炮竹。我们放了冲天炮、火炮、烟花炮和各种各样的炮竹。五颜六色的烟火把夜空打扮的像一幅幅美丽的图画。红色的烟火图象征着热情快乐；红色与黄色组成的画面象征着幸福和吉祥；黄色和橙色组成的画面象征着一年来丰硕的成果；绿色的烟花象征着春天的来临,我们将翻开崭新的一页。

春节还有一个重要的活动，那就是走亲访友。我们会去亲戚家做客，联络联络感情。大人们还会给我们小孩子压岁钱。据说在大年三十的怪物“年”来过之后，还会出来一个人们看不见的怪物——祟。祟转来转去，专门找小孩子。祟只要一摸小孩子的头，这个小孩子就会变老，祟的寿命就变长。有一个小孩子晚上睡觉，拿红纸包银亮亮的钱币玩，祟找到了这个小孩，刚伸手摸小孩儿的头，却变成一股烟消失了。人们认为这是红纸和钱币的功劳，于是每年都给孩子们发红包，还给红包里的钱币取了个新名字——压岁钱。

快过年了，家家户户都要把家里打扫的干干净净，玻璃也要擦的一尘不染，总之一定要把家里整理的井井有条，俗话说：“一尘不扫，何以扫天下。”我们家也是按照老祖宗留下的规矩尊守着，年*了越来越有年的味道了。
腊月二十四夜祭灶神，贴灶神，保佑我们全家在新的一年里风调雨顺**安安快快乐乐！也就是说灶爷爷吃点我们包的素菜团子去天上报告玉皇大帝，人间丰收了过年了。有句谚语就是"上天言好事，下界保*安”，说的就是灶神爷爷。

大年三十饭后，我们就开始贴对联、挂灯笼、贴今年猪年的福娃，大红对联贴在门的两旁，大红灯笼高高挂起，给节日不仅增加了喜庆的气氛更是衬托了过年的年味。大年三十晚上是孩子们最开心最期待的事情就是爸爸、妈妈、爷爷、奶奶？长辈们发红包了，我的爸爸、妈妈，一人给了一个厚厚的红包给我，同时也给了一份祝愿和期盼。
大年初一，因我爸爸妈妈的辈份大，小辈们都穿着新衣新鞋来我家拜年，互相祝福说吉祥语，好热闹的气氛啊！

When the new year is coming, everybody is so excited. The families get together and have fun. For me, as I was a little kid, Spring Festival was my biggest day.
