说到春联，里面还有一个故事呢！春联，起源于桃符，最早出现在周代，悬挂在大门两旁的长方形门板。据说桃木有镇鬼、驱邪的功能。因为世上的恶鬼都畏惧“神茶”“郁垒”二神，所以就用木板做成他们的模样放在自家门前辟邪。后来，人们直接在木板上刻上他们的名字，认为这样也可以辟邪，就成为桃符。五代十国时期，有人在桃符上写字，蜀国的'君主孟昶在除夕之夜令学士在桃符上写上名字，因看不清内容，孟昶便自己书写，就此，产生了*第一副对联。
