More media coverage is being paid to the HIV/* situation in China， especially after a gathering of leading officials， scientists， medical workers and activists in the field occurred in Beijing on November 10. By official estimates， China has 840，000 people carrying HIV， the virus that causes *， and about 80，000 * patients. Despite the fairly large groups of HIV carriers and * patients， the epidemic is mostly confined to high-risk groups， such as drug users， prostitutes and users of blood products.
And it has yet to spread widely in the rest of the nation. The Chinese Government is well aware of such perspectives， and the central and local governments have allocated 6.8 billion yuan (US$822 billion) to establish and improve disease prevention and control mechanisms in provinces. Each year a special fund of more than 200 million yuan (US$24 million) is channeled into HIV/* prevention， care and treatment. Since April， free medicine to poor * patients has been delivered in regions hit hardest by the virus. Just as the impacts of * reaches social and economic fields of society， effective prevention also requires united efforts from virtually all sectors. Key factors needed include public education， affordable drugs， medical training for healthcare workers in hospitals and the public health system， monitoring and evaluation， care for orphans， measures to stop mother-to-child transmission， a comprehensive care framework and research into vaccines and a cure.
None of these things can be achieved with the single hand of any institution — not health officials， not medical workers or the government. The fight against HIV/* requires the participation of as many parties as possible. As former US President Bill Clinton said as a co-chair of the advisory board of International * Trust， the * problem is “manageable and preventable” though we must wage it on all fronts with tenuous determination， utmost patience and tactful skills.
Taking care of the old people is the traditional merit in China, because Chinese people pay special attention to the family union. As more and more young people choose to work in the big cities, they are far away from home and have less time to visit their parents. So they give them the money to show care of the old. But for the old people, they don't care much about the money, what they want is to see their children as often as possible. No matter how busy we are, we should spare some time to stay with our relatives. When they are gone, we will surely regret for not companying them with enough time. So don't let work stuffs take up your private time, just go home often and talk to your parents, which is worthy of all.
Nowadays it is common to see that many parents focus their attention on their children, but leave their own parents without proper care. The most typical example is the phenomenon of empty nest seniors. This problem has aroused the public concern and has become the hot topic of many discussions.
Paying little attention to older parents can have serious consequences. Recently, with the increasing busy life of our contemporaries, the loneness of the old ones has been existent as a widespread socail phenomena,which is really worth a plenty of social attention.
There are a couple of principal factors for this issue .Most importantly ,It is because the young are so engaged with their work and study that it is difficult for them to find time visiting their old generations .Furthermore, the unemployment of old people is another influential ground for their loneness since they may have too much free time and don't know what to do .
Since the old generations have made great contribution to the society ,So,they should be respected ,accepted and cared .As for me ,they are at leats two ways to resolve this problem. First ,the old ones can raise pets like dogs or cats to have a accompany ,also, they can have a walk in the park,last, the young should care them and find time together with them as possible .
