The tempo of modern civilization has been much quickened in the last twentyyears. This Dragon Boat Festival I went to Beijing. It was very fun. First I went to the Forbidden City and I saw golden chairs and silver plates. They were very beautiful and expensive. 妈妈说到果然做到，她先去买了许多英语教材和磁带，然后又去报了英语班。可是大多数英语班都是教小孩子的，好不容易才找到一个教**英语的，妈妈很高兴。
妈妈一开始学英语很困难，爸爸劝她说：“你现在都三十多了，记忆又不好，没有年轻时的脑子好用了，反正也学不好，不如别学了。”我也劝妈妈不要那么辛苦，可妈妈就是不听，她说：“我不能半途而废，有始无终，我一定要坚持，要给璐璐做个好榜样，不是吗？”然后妈妈有接着背单词、读课文。因为妈妈基础不扎实，所以要从三年级的教材开始学。晚上我们叫妈妈睡觉了，她说：“你们先睡我过一会就睡”。我们就没管她。12点多了我起来喝水，看见妈妈还在看书就劝她早就休息，她点点头说：“再学一会”。到了第二天，我们看见妈妈的眼睛红红的肿肿的，也不知道昨天晚上几点才睡，爸爸生气的说：“你爱惜点自己的身体好不好？多大的人了，眼睛还要不要？”我也对妈妈说：“你这样是会影响上班的。”妈妈只是笑笑，照样我行我素，爸爸一生气就把妈妈报的那个英语班给退了。妈妈知道后很伤心，不理爸爸了好几天。我们以为妈妈伤心过后就不学了，但我们错了，妈妈照样坚持着，自己边学边找老师，就这样妈妈坚持了两年多，终于学会了英语，现在我的英语也有人帮我辅导了，我们能在家里进行简单的英语对话，我的英语成绩也慢慢的上升，我真为我的妈妈骄傲。
要是我们在学*上、做事上也能向妈妈这样坚持不懈，我相信，再难的事也能完成。
她就是我的英语老师，她是一个女老师，瘦高瘦高的，*时说话也总是轻声细语，和我们一起吃饭的时候也总是细嚼慢咽，笑起来还带着一个小酒窝。用一句话来说就是“苗条淑女”。而我们学校也确实有许多的男老师在追求她，而她也不是都不喜欢，她只是说了一句拒绝的理由。“我的孩子再过十几年都有你这么大了。”他们不相信，只认为这是她拒绝他们的理由。其实她还漏说了一句，“我的孩子都快一个连那么多了。”
没错，她真的把我们当做了她的孩子。她新买的钢笔送给了谁？没错，是我们。她新买的书包现在搭在了谁的肩上？没错，是我们。她新买的笔盒放在了谁的抽屉了？没错，还是我们。她的钱，都花在了我们的身上。我们真的就好像她的.孩子，一群长不大的孩子。
那个暑假回来后，我就变了一个人。我不再和同学们交流了，也不再和同学们玩耍了，我只是能静静地坐在属于我的位子。那时候，是这样的感觉，世界那么大，可我的世界，就只有这小小的桌子那么大。那时，我还把刘海留得长长的，直接挡住了半边脸。那时的我，连镜子都不敢碰，更别说照了，我把家里所有的镜子都藏了起来。就连我的眼镜，我的不敢戴，尽管那时候我的眼睛已经*视到了三百度。而这一切的原因，仅仅因为一次意外，我的半边脸就这么被烧伤了，我也因此变得孤独。
我总是觉得，同学们在看着我，他们不屑于跟我这个丑八怪玩，我每每想到这里的时候，我把头抬得更低了。
而她就在这个时候走进了我的世界。那一次放学后，她叫我留了下来。那时候，教室里只剩下我和她两个人。她先是站在讲台上用眼神和我对视着，然后慢慢地向我走来。走的时候她并没有看着前进的道路，反而目不转睛的盯着我。我觉察到了她那火辣辣的目光，感觉心里很害怕，很慌张，有着一种想找一个地缝钻下去的冲动。她就这么一直盯着我，离我越来越*，越来越*。我的手心好像一直在流汗，我连忙把手塞进了抽屉里，不由得把头埋得更低了。我简直不知道她是什么时候来到我的身前的。只感觉有那么一只小手搭在我的肩膀上，凉凉的，就连我的汗，也止住了不少。她又用她的手轻轻地抚摸着我的头发，亲昵的摸了摸我的头。她的手，还带着一股神奇的力量，我的心，忽然不那么慌张了。
这时，我才敢抬头望向了她，她的眼神，目光中似乎还带着一丝水分，我总感觉她的眼泪跟要溢出来似的，可实际上，她并没有哭，她是在笑，对着我甜甜的笑。她的目光给我带来了鼓励。
忽然，她轻轻的抚摸的发梢，“这头发长了，剪掉吧！”她忽的就冒出了这一句。而我，似乎没有拒绝的理由，只能顺从地点了点头。
我开始用自己的眼睛从新看着这个世界。

Planet Earth is something I hold dearly to my heart. It is not at the center of the Universe, but it is our home planet. Our mother that has allowed all existing life on Earth to be possible.
