Dragon Boat Festival， often known as Tuen Ng Festival or Duan Wu Festival， is a traditional Chinese festival held on the fifth day of the fifth month of the Chinese calendar. It is also known as the Double Fifth.[citation needed] It has since been celebrated， in various ways， in other parts of East Asia as well， most notably Korea.
The exact origins of Duan Wu are unclear， but one traditional view holds that the festival memorializes the Chinese poet Qu Yuan of the Warring States Period. He committed * by drowning himself in a river because he was disgusted by the corruption of the Chu government. The local people， knowing him to be a good man， decided to throw food into the river to feed the fishes to prevent them from eating Qus body. 有一次，我和奶奶去菜市场。我们到了一处买青菜的摊子上。买主以两块钱的价格出售，奶奶明知是吃亏了。可还对我说：“买主可能家境贫穷，所以才会高价出售。”奶奶的心灵其实非常脆弱，有时经常受到打击，所以想保护我们的心灵不受伤害，而奶奶的做法则是非常和蔼，而且从来不动手打人、骂人。奶奶从不喜欢用骂或打的方式来教育孩子，而一直用提醒的方式让孩子来努力。奶奶还会为觉得孩子做得对的事情为辩护到底。
奶奶也很勤劳。在乡下，奶奶每天都在六点半起床第一件事就是帮全家炖好一天要喝的开水，在刷牙、洗脸、吃早饭。之后拿起拖把，开始拖地。等我们起床后再帮我们烧早饭。奶奶每天都晚睡早起，而且还要一刻不停的工作，真辛劳。

先说说外公的勤。外公虽然年过花甲，可每天他都要早早起床下地干活。盛夏烈日，大家都躲在屋里歇息，他不是还在地里干活，就是去喂家里养的牛蛙。外婆劝他歇会儿，他总是笑呵呵地说：“不用，歇的时间多了，这肚子就会大起来。”去年秋天的一个夜晚，月光如水，照在地上如同白昼，外公以为天亮了，翻身披衣下床。等他去割了一担草回来要喂牛的时候，外婆还在床上睡觉，原来天还没有亮。外婆又是生气，又是心疼。外公还是笑呵呵地说：“跑跑路，人结实。识字人都说‘生命在于运动’嘛！”
再说外公的俭。外公家庄稼的产量总是会比别人家的高，年年吃不愁，还有结余供我家、大姨家、舅舅家，可他仍然惜粮如金。我们学校每天开饭后，食堂里总会留下一些或大或小的的馒头块。他发现后，就天天背着箩筐捡回去喂猪。有些人捡这些“小便宜”，总认为不花钱，巴不得那些小孩子们多扔一些，可外公从来不这样，有时，他碰到有些同学乱扔饭菜的，就会拉住他们教育一通，还要让他背诵“锄禾日当午”哩！你瞧瞧外公这个人就是这样，他的节俭，不是光为自己，这是他保留了几十年的好品德。

“洗衣疯”妈妈”：
我的妈妈是一个家庭主妇，好多事情都会做，但她做得最得心应手的事情就是洗东西。只要家里有什么东西要洗，不用说，你马上就会看见一个在卫生间忙碌的身影。
洗衣服、洗菜、洗被子，凡是关于洗东西的事妈妈都会抢着做。如果你在中午的时候看见狭小的卫生间亮着灯，准是妈妈在洗衣服了，我家除了欢呼声和唉声叹气声，最大的声响就该是妈妈的刷刷声了。我真的很喜欢这个“洗衣疯”妈妈，她让我们家一直洁白干净。
“跳舞疯”妹妹：
我妹妹好像天生有一点音乐细胞，一听见“蓬蓬”的音乐声，她就立马站在原地开始乱晃双手，很有节奏的哦！每天吃完早饭，一定站在门口，挥舞小手，嘴巴里含糊地喊着“走走走”，那就是喊奶奶赶快带她去公园跳舞，因为那个时候早起的爷爷奶奶们已经在公园跳舞锻炼身体了；到了晚饭后，雷打不动，即使下雨也要拉着爸爸妈妈的手奔向公园。这个时候是公园最为热闹的时候，小朋友最爱的滑滑梯，有妹妹最爱的广场舞，天呐，我简直不能理解这么个小小的人儿心里到底装着啥，为什么音乐对她这么重要？但是不管怎么说，有了妹妹的日子，感觉更美了！
