声声爆竹辞旧岁，点点梅花迎新春。在我的家乡，我最喜欢的节日就是春节。春节我最喜欢的活动就是包饺子，饺子不仅好看，而且还好吃。
我十分好奇饺子的来历，特意查了资料。从前有个皇帝，整天不理朝政，只顾寻欢作乐，搞的国家贫弱，百姓怨声载道。一天，一个奸臣向皇帝献计：人若能吃百样饭，就可增寿延年成神仙，您可下令在各地招选明厨，让他一日三餐做新样。皇帝听后，即出告示，举国招选。不几日，各地厨师来到京城。经过层层挑选，有一位叫苏巧生的厨师被选上了。苏巧生凭借高超的技艺为皇帝做了九十九样饭莱。皇帝很满意。等到最后一夜，苏巧生很高六，因为再做一顿饭就可以和家人团聚。但是做饭时，他竟不知道怎样做最后一道菜。他想过逃跑，想过毒死**……正在悲伤时，他突然看到案板上有一些羊肉和蔬菜，他便举刀把这些食材剁碎了，又放上调料，用白面皮包了许多小角子，然后放在开水锅里煮熟，当成最后一样饭给皇帝端去。没想到皇帝竟穿着睡衣跑进厨房，疾声询问“今日这顿饭最香，它叫什么名字？”苏巧生听罢，长长地叹了口气，随后抬头看见案板上那扁扁的东西，信口答道：“这是民间上等食品——扁食。”
此后，饺子也逐渐在民间流传开来，每逢春节，人们不仅要放鞭炮，贴春联，还要吃饺子。美味的饺子带给人们的不仅是满满的幸福感，更饱含着浓浓的历史文化底蕴。
