20xx年4月27日晚七点，成都理工大学能源学院E龙部于6A102举办了“成都理工大学第二届石油文化节之英语演讲比赛决赛”。 本次比赛请到了成都理工大学的专业英语老师当评委，他们分别是：刘伊梅、程艳和甘咏老师，且有能源学院*张聪、范瑞峰，部长汤曼、温仁均等十余位嘉宾出*了本次演讲。参赛选手为初赛晋级的十二位来自能源学院和外国语学院的同学。E龙部部长杨强、李辉、范典以及所有干事全权负责本次演讲，且由范典和来自外国语的一位学姐担任主持。
比赛开始，主持人介绍到场评委及嘉宾，宣读比赛规则。每位选手有三分钟演讲时间，一分钟评委提问环节，评委老师将根据演讲者的演讲内容、语言表达和综合印象给选手打分。中场穿插有奖猜单词动环节，比赛结束后英文歌演唱活跃了现场气氛。
经过紧张而又有序演讲，比赛最后一二三等奖和优胜奖，来自能源学院的姬牧野同学和外国语学院的朱芯苇同学用他们标准的发音，激励人心的演讲分别荣获了各自学院的一等奖。二三等奖均为能源学院和外国语学院各一名，评委和嘉宾为获奖选手颁发了荣誉证书及奖品以资鼓励。
本次比赛不仅显示了参赛选手优异的英语水*，锻炼了胆量，同时也让观众收获颇多，对英语有了更加浓厚的兴趣，这样的比赛应该多举行。
The Importance of confidence
Whatever one does，one should do it with confidence。 If one has no confidence，there is little possibility that one would ever achieve anything，especially when one is faced with drawbacks or hardships。 This truth seems to be evident。 However，in reality we do see a lot of people who complain that they like the ability to do something or that their difficulties are too great to be overcome。 For someone，this might be true。 But for many others，this only shows that they have lost heart。
Why do people often feel frustrated even though they are capable of doing something？There are，among others，two main reasons。 First，these people do have a correct estimate of themselves。 Second，they overestimate the difficulties。
It is possible to build up faith in oneself by having the right attitude towards one’s abilities。 We should never underestimate one’s abilities。 But believe in the proverb：“Where there is a will，there is a way。” Confidence is the promise for fulfilling a task successfully。

whether there's afterlife，the answer has never been the same。 the atheists deny after life，believing that our life is no more than from the cradle to the grave。 they may care about their illustrious names after death；they may feel attached to the affection of their offspring，but they never lay their hopes on their afterlife。 they may also say that good will be rewarded with good，and evil with evil，but they don't really believe any retribution in their after life。
however，in the religious world or among the superstitious people，the belief in afterlife is very popular。 they do not only believe in afterlife，but thousands of reincarnations as well。 in the mysterious world，there are the paradise and the hell，the celestial beings and the gods，the buddha and the bodhisattvas。
maybe they really believed it，or maybe they just wanted to make use of people's veneration，the ancient emperors always declared that they were the real dragons，the sons of god，while the royal ministers claimed to be the reincarnations of various constellations。 but can the stars reincarnate？
many people burn incense and kowtow，do good deeds and strive for virtues，not just for the present，but mainly to let god see their sincerity so as to be reborn into a better afterlife，or to achieve the highest enlightenment after several lives of practice。 they do believe in afterlife。 but i can't help asking：suppose there were no afterlife，would you still do good deeds and strive for virtues？and if god does not see what you are doing，would you still be so upright and selfless？if you work，not for serving the public and liberating the others，but just for a better afterlife of your own，isn't it a little too selfish？comparing with this kind of believers，those who don't believe in afterlife，but still keep doing good deeds，are the most sincere and honest philanthropists，because they do them not for themselves but for other。
you may wonder if i believe in afterlife。 my answer is：i know nothing about my previous life，so i dare not make improper comments on afterlife。 but i do hope there's afterlife！because our present life is so short that so many things slip away before our proper understanding。 i have so many dreams，so many wishes，so many ambitions，as well as so many regrets and concerns。 if there were no afterlife，all of them will remain unrealized！

四、活动简述
本次活动面向全体中学生，比赛为初赛、复赛、决赛三个环节。活动不仅能为同学们提供一个展示自己能力与才华的舞台、丰富课余生活，而且可以提高同学们学*英语的热情与激情。
五、活动流程
1、初赛、复赛（时间：10月8日—10月11日）
说明：初赛、复赛各班自行举办，每班选出8名英语口语、表达及综合能力较强者进入复赛，在复赛中选出最优秀的4名选手参加决赛。提倡办出特色，办出水*，推举优秀选手，以保证比赛质量。
2、决赛：（时间：10月17日星期四下午2：00—4：50）
说明：演讲主题不限，选手可在主题范围内自定小标题。演讲内容可涉及学*、工作、生活中的点点滴滴，人生观、价值取向，人与人之间的关系等方面。文体形式不限，可叙述、可议论、可抒情，但要真实，体现个性。语言风格要求生动活泼，有感染力。每人限时三分钟。
（1）、选手演讲顺序于比赛前一天抽签决定，参赛选手出场顺序按抽签决定，从小号到大号依次参加比赛。
（2）、比赛程序：

A。 成绩计算：评委根据选手综合表现现场打分（评分保留两位小数），评委成绩中去掉一个最高分和一个最低分后的*均分为参赛选手的最终成绩。

八、注意事项
1、提前通知所有参赛人员，若在比赛中，三次提示未到的选手，视为自动放弃比赛。

4、各负责人及评委保证比赛时的秩序，在每场比赛前做好充分的准备工作，以利于选手在比赛时发挥自己的最佳水*。
5、演讲者到指定区域就坐，其他同学以班级为单位就坐。
6、评分要严格按照评分标准进行，最后负责人上缴评分原始材料。

比赛三个环节每部分具体评判标准如下：演讲内容(占40%)：要求紧扣主题，观点鲜明，内容生动，具有创意性，演讲结构清晰，论据充足，逻辑性强;语言表达(占40%)：要求语音准确，语调准确，表达流畅，富有感染力;综合印象(占20%)：要求仪表大方，举止得体，富有表现力，能够灵活运用表情和身体语言与观众交流。
3、报名截止时间：进入决赛的每位选手欲3月25号中午12点之前必须将自己的演讲稿及报名表打印一份交到团委，逾期不到视为弃权。
4、着装要求:衣着得体大方，着装整齐，仪表庄重，体现出良好的风度和气质。

Good morning ladies and gentlemen:
The title of my speech today is "The Doors that Are Open to Us ".
The other day my aunt paid me a visit. She was overjoyed. "I got the highest mark in the mid-term examination!" she said. Don't be surprised! My aunt is indeed a student; to be exact, a college student at the age of 45.
Last year, she put aside her private business and signed up for a one-year, full-time management course in a college. "This was the wisest decision I have ever made," she said proudly like a teenage girl. To her, college is always a right place to pick up new ideas, and new ideas always make her feel young.
"Compared with the late 70s," she says, "now college students have many doors." My aunt cannot help but recall her first college experience in 1978 when college doors began to be re-opened after the Cultural Revolution. She was assigned to study engineering despite her desire to study Chinese literature, and a few years later, the government sent her to work in a TV factory.
I was shocked when she first told me how she (had) had no choice in her major and job. Look at us today! So many doors are open to us! I believe there have never been such abundant opportunities for self-development as we have today. And my aunt told me that we should reach our goals by grasping all these opportunities.
The first door I see is the opportunity to study different kinds of subjects that interest us. My aunt said she was happy to study management, but she was also happy that she could attend lectures on ancient Chinese poetry and on Shakespearean drama. As for myself, I am an English major, but I may also go to lectures on history. To me, if college education in the past emphasized specialization, now, it emphasizes free and well-rounded development of each individual. So all the fine achievements of human civilization are open to us.
The second door is the door to the outside world. Learning goes beyond classrooms and national boundaries. My aunt remembers her previous college days as monotonous and even calls her generation "frogs in a well." But today, as the world becomes a global village, it is important that our neighbors and we be open-minded to learn with and from each other. I have many fellow international classmates, and I am ap***ing to an exchange program with a university abroad. As for my aunt, she is planning to get an MBA degree in the United Kingdom where her daughter, my cousin, is now doing her master's degree in biochemistry. I'm so glad to stand here today to share my idea about Beijing Olympic Games together with you all. The title of my speech is: what can we do for Beijing Olympic Games?
First of all, let me tell you a story that happened 2 years ago. At the end of August, 20xx, when I decided to come to Beijing for study, my friends hel* * rewell Party for me. Ladies and Gentlemen, keeping optimistic, you will be able to realize, in spite of some hardship, there’s always hope waiting for you, which will lead you to the ultimate success. Historically as well as currently, there are too many optimists of this kind to enumerate. You see, Thomas Edison is optimistic; if not, the light of hope in his heart could not illuminate the whole world. Alfred Nobel is optimistic; if not, the explosives and the prestigious Nobel Prize would not have come into being. And Lance Armstrong is also optimistic; if not, the devil of cancer would have devoured his life and the world would not see a 5-time winner of the Tour De France.

constitutional republic cannot be conferred by the government, cannot be maintained by one party or one group, and certainly cannot be carried on the backs of a few dignitaries and influential elders. a constitutional republic which does not derive from the conscious realization and voluntary action of the majority of the people is a bogus republic and bogus constitutionalism. it is political window-dressing, in no way like the republican constitutionalism of the countries of europe and america, because there has been no change in the thought or the character of the majority of the people, and the majority of the people have no personal feeling of direct material interest.

It's my honor to speak here and I am very glad to share my topic with all of you. Today I'd like to talk about “my dream”. I do not just have one dream, in fact, I have three. They are: a healthy life, a happy family and to travel my great country.
I have always admired the long healthy life my grandparents have. They are older than 80 years of age and they are still alive and kicking! How do they do that!? My grandparents plant vegetables and grow rice themselves; even in their old age they still make food for themselves! I guess that is why they can remain healthy. More importantly they remain humble and never ask for too much from life. Perhaps that makes them common, but they live a happy life. My grandmother once told me this:” I do not want to live long, only long enough for some grand children to be running around in my house”. I want to live a long, healthy and happy life just as they have.
Since my graduation from primary school, until now, every time on my birthday I make the same wish. I wish my parents will not fight anymore. I am not complaining that they gave me a bad childhood, they just fight so much! I am unhappy but that does not mean they do not love me. They do! They love me with all their heart. I love my parents also; I want them to live a happy life as well.
I want to travel this great country of ours. I want to see the beauty of our country. I want to see the miracles that made this country great! I want to go from the east to west, from the north all the way down to the south! I have a dream, that one day I can travel and see my country with my family and friends! If that is not possible, seeing my country on my own is good enough also. If I can fulfill all three of my dreams in life, then God can take me away. I would be happy, and l would have lived a full and prosperous life.

Many people have favorite places they like to go to when they are feeling sad or bored.I,too,have favorite places that I go to as often as I can.
Here are the three places that I like most.First of all,I like the zoo.The animals are amazing because some are so cute and some are so ugly!I like to pet them,feed them and watch them perform.Museums are cool places,too.They have good exhibits and fascinating displays.I like the works of art there.Some museumsteach me a lot about history and science.From dinosaus to robots,I love it all.Finally,theme parks are a blast.I love to go on the wild rides.I think the roller coasters are the best.It's fun to scream and get scared.

我们拥有充实的教师人生，我相信，当我们的生命走向尽头时，我们可以自豪地说："天空没有留下我痕迹，但我已飞过。
还是在儿时，我的老师就在我的心中播下了一颗种子，一颗对"教师"这一职业期望的种子。这颗种子在老师爱的雨露和关怀的阳光下，渐渐地在我心中，生了根，发芽了，长大了。今天，它终于结出了果实——我也成了一位老师。当我还怀着期望看"老师"时，在他的周围总围着一圈光环，"春蚕"、"红烛"、"灵魂的工程师"。
于是，我就带着这样的一份崇敬走进了教师的队伍，当我穿过了它面前的光环，走进了它的内核时，也渐渐地理解了它的内涵，教师也是*凡的，普通的：就如一颗小小的铺路石，也只是社会中的沧海一栗，大多数的老师，都只是默默地在自己的岗位上，燃烧尽了自身全部的光和热，再悄悄地退下了，没有惊人的事迹，没有辉煌的成就，犹如一块黑板，曾经写满了神奇，最后擦去的都是功和利。
但在老师的手中，都握着无数的金种子——那便是希望，这就是教师的全部财富，也是教师的神奇之处。
当每个生命来到这世界上，在他们的心中，都有一块空白的土地。很多的爸爸妈妈细心地给它浇水，施肥，唯独望了播下种子，于是他们就带着这块空白的沃土来到学校，请求老师在那儿播种。老师便大把大把的把金种子散向他们的心田。老师的关爱，在他们的心中播下了热爱生命的种子；老师宽容在他们的心中播下了善待生活的.种子；老师的才华在他们的心中，播下了渴求知识的种子；老师的期待在他们的心中播下了希望的种子。

大家好!
今天，我们在这里举行师德演讲，我又一次听到了“德”字，不由得想起《陋室铭》里的一句话：“斯是陋室，唯吾德馨。”表达了作者不因环境等因素的影响，始终能够保持良好品德的至高境界。然而，达到这种境界，并非一日两日之功。在树立良好师德的过程中，我始终用三个标准衡量自身：
1、是否热爱自己的工作;
2、是否爱自己的孩子;
3、是否具有为了工作，开拓进取、不断创新的精神。相信在场的每一位老师在听到这三点的时候，都会不由得以此为标准衡量自己。然而，做一个客观公正的评价，也要看工作以来的一贯表现，
然而，工作中没有掌声，没有鲜花，更没有此起彼伏的喝彩，有的，只是和孩子们*实的相处，他们哭了，我要去哄他们;他们闹矛盾了，我又要当裁判，给他讲道理;拉了，吐了，还要帮他们收拾，打理;有的只是工作一天下来，疲惫的身躯;有的只是，日复一日琐碎的工作;理想在哪里?报复在哪里?于是，我茫然了，这样的生活，离我想象中的太远。想象中的我，应该穿着职业装，拎着包，穿梭于不同的城市，接触不同的人，尽管辛苦，却感觉着不同的生活，享受着成功的喜悦。可是，我选择了幼儿教师，就等于选择了不一样的生活。不同的职业性质不同，却都有着这样那样的艰辛。比如提起医生，大家会说：“他们工资高呀!”可是，当他们一大早就坐在诊室里一个个为病人看病的时候，您不觉得他们辛苦么?提起警察，有的人会说：“他们多威风啊!穿着警服，开着警车......”可是，当他们在风雪里为我们指挥交通的时候，当他们为了擒拿歹徒冲锋陷阵的时候，当他们，为了侦破案件整夜加班的.时候，您还只看到他们的威风么?因此，工作者是一种责任，更是自我价值的体现。随着时间的推移，我也日渐成熟，认清了工作的价值，于是，现在的我，成了这个样子：清晨，当悠扬的音乐响起，我开始一天的工作，我会带着清新的笑脸，迎来可爱的孩子们：
1、我会把哭闹的孩子揽到怀里，用亲切的话语安慰他们;
2、我会和孩子们一起收集资料，为了一个问题而争论不休;
3、我会扮成大猫，在孩子们拉起的老鼠洞外跑来跑去，和他们一起游戏，听他们兴奋的尖叫;
4、我会和他们一起蹲下来，观察采花粉的蝴蝶为何一动也不动;
5、我会和班上的老师一起，走进孩子的家庭，和他们交流，当我听到孩子的父母告诉我，孩子为了等我一大早就起床了的消息时，我又会，默默地感动;
6、我会在我的笔记里，记下孩子的喜怒哀乐，分析这些情况，找出有针对性的教育方法，帮他们进步;

九月十日上午，嘉应观乡二铺营中心小学的操场上掌声雷动，诗情飞扬，一场别开生面的“美丽心灵、感念师恩”主题教育活动在这里隆重举行，二铺营村两委、嘉应观中心校的领导以及全校师生共五百余人参加了此次活动。

为了适应新时期课改要求，提高我校学生英语应用能力，创建良好的英语学*氛围，丰富我校的校园文化，丰富我校文化艺术节的内容，政教处、校团委、高二英语备课组决定联合举办20xx年庆“五·四”英语演讲比赛。

比赛分两个阶段进行：初赛和决赛。
（一）初赛
初赛话题：
my life（人生）
love（爱）
environment protection（环保）
（可自拟小标题）
初赛形式：
各班自行组织英语演讲比赛，可以聘请英语老师做评委，也可以聘请本班学生做评委。
初赛要求：
各班应广泛动员学生参与演讲比赛活动，并在英语老师的指导下完成演讲词的撰写，各位选手参赛时必须是脱稿的，比赛流程要和决赛的流程一样，充分准备，择优选择，确保参加决赛选手的水*。
初赛时间：
各班在4月10日前完成，并上报参加决赛学生的.名单。
（二）决赛：
演讲题目：同初赛。
参赛资格：各班择优推荐1名选手参加决赛。
比赛环节：
1、抽签决定出场顺序；
2、定题演讲：每位选手首先进行5分钟以内的有准备发言，主题为：
my life/love/environment protection
3、回答问题：由英语教师负责就演讲的内容提问，1～2个问题，回答时间为2分钟。
4、评分：5～7名评委的*均分为选手得分。赛后即公布全部选手成绩和名次。
5、各班可组织英语文艺节目，包括短剧、英语歌曲等，择优在比赛过程中进行表演。
6、在全年级择优挑选学生主持人。
评委组成：
评委团由5～7名英语教师组成（具体人员待定）。
比赛场地：水泥操场
比赛时间：4月下旬
四、奖项设置：
设一等奖2名、二等奖4名、三等奖若干名。推荐优秀选手参加恩施州英语演讲比赛。

语言要求：
语言要求：语音标准度－使用较标准英国英语或美国英语；
语音准确度－发音清晰，音调、音高合
适，用词准确、相关；
语言流畅度－连读、词重音、句重音、语调和节奏。
技巧要求：
表现力－有适度的幽默感，手势、眼神、表情、肢体语言恰当适度；
情绪－有感情与气势，精神饱满有自信。

为提高同学们对英语书法的兴趣，规范同学们的英语书写，培养良好的英语书写*惯，在听、说、读的基础上，全面提高写的技能，丰富同学们的校园文化生活，营造学校的英语学*氛围，促进学生的全面发展，为同学们提供一个展示自我的舞台，学校英语组特组织“笔下生辉”小学英语书法比赛活动，并通过此次活动互相交流，取长补短。
二、活动时间：
20xx年11月10日上午第三节课
三、活动地点：
教室
四、活动对象：
五年级全体学生。
五、活动要求：
1、选一节课，全班学生参加比赛，学校统一发书写内容，学生按要求抄写。之后再由英语老师选出10名学生的作品参加决赛。
2、书写内容为短文。
3、比赛分四（格）线写法。
4、比赛要求40分钟内完成。
5、要求根据内容自己设计版面，要求间隔合理、布局美观。6、要求参赛选手使用钢笔书写，统一用纸。
六、评分细则：
★评分细则如下：（满分为10分）
1、卷面整洁，书写工整，无涂改痕迹。（占25%）2、字母书写规范，单词、句子书写合乎格式及手写体要求（占25%）。
3、字体美观、大方，标点正确，间距适中，无错别字（占25%）。
4、倾斜度适当，结构严谨，通篇整体感强（占25%）
七、奖励制度：
1、按各班级分成绩奖励学生，一等奖2名，二等奖3名，三等奖5名。
2、做好作品获奖公布工作及作品展示工作。八、奖项设置
本次英语书法比赛设一等奖2名、二等奖4名，三等奖4名、优秀奖6名。英语老师给予相应的加分（一、二、三等奖分别为每生加5分、3分、2分、1分）。
