  20xx年4月27日晚七点,成都理工大学能源学院E龙部于6A102举办了“成都理工大学第二届石油文化节之英语演讲比赛决赛”。 本次比赛请到了成都理工大学的专业英语老师当评委,他们分别是:刘伊梅、程艳和甘咏老师,且有能源学院*张聪、范瑞峰,部长汤曼、温仁均等十余位嘉宾出*了本次演讲。参赛选手为初赛晋级的十二位来自能源学院和外国语学院的同学。E龙部部长杨强、李辉、范典以及所有干事全权负责本次演讲,且由范典和来自外国语的一位学姐担任主持。

  比赛开始,主持人介绍到场评委及嘉宾,宣读比赛规则。每位选手有三分钟演讲时间,一分钟评委提问环节,评委老师将根据演讲者的演讲内容、语言表达和综合印象给选手打分。中场穿插有奖猜单词动环节,比赛结束后英文歌演唱活跃了现场气氛。

  经过紧张而又有序演讲,比赛最后一二三等奖和优胜奖,来自能源学院的姬牧野同学和外国语学院的朱芯苇同学用他们标准的发音,激励人心的演讲分别荣获了各自学院的一等奖。二三等奖均为能源学院和外国语学院各一名,评委和嘉宾为获奖选手颁发了荣誉证书及奖品以资鼓励。

  本次比赛不仅显示了参赛选手优异的英语水*,锻炼了胆量,同时也让观众收获颇多,对英语有了更加浓厚的兴趣,这样的比赛应该多举行。

  The Importance of confidence

  Whatever one does,one should do it with confidence。 If one has no confidence,there is little possibility that one would ever achieve anything,especially when one is faced with drawbacks or hardships。 This truth seems to be evident。 However,in reality we do see a lot of people who complain that they like the ability to do something or that their difficulties are too great to be overcome。 For someone,this might be true。 But for many others,this only shows that they have lost heart。

  Why do people often feel frustrated even though they are capable of doing something?There are,among others,two main reasons。 First,these people do have a correct estimate of themselves。 Second,they overestimate the difficulties。

  It is possible to build up faith in oneself by having the right attitude towards one’s abilities。 We should never underestimate one’s abilities。 But believe in the proverb:“Where there is a will,there is a way。” Confidence is the promise for fulfilling a task successfully。

  constitutional republic cannot be conferred by the government, cannot be maintained by one party or one group, and certainly cannot be carried on the backs of a few dignitaries and influential elders. a constitutional republic which does not derive from the conscious realization and voluntary action of the majority of the people is a bogus republic and bogus constitutionalism. it is political window-dressing, in no way like the republican constitutionalism of the countries of europe and america, because there has been no change in the thought or the character of the majority of the people, and the majority of the people have no personal feeling of direct material interest.

  Young!Fortunately,I am young now。 Just due to it,I know that nothing is impossible。I firmly believe that nothing can stand in my way。 If I can't realize my dream,it result from that I haven't work harder enough and I won't find other excuses。 If no people believe you,you can make it to prove that you are right。 If you think the god haven't blessed you and there is no truth here,you can become the god and create the truth。

  "My breath swallows the sky and make the yellow river overflow,my sword is famous in Kyushu and it can collapse the five sacred mountains。" At some time in the past I also had am bitious words and I had some achievements。 Each achievement results from my hard work。 I always believe that "If you want to have more achievements than others,you must work harder。" In some extent,the dream is the hope。 If you can insist on doing something,the victory will come。

  however,in the religious world or among the superstitious people,the belief in afterlife is very popular。 they do not only believe in afterlife,but thousands of reincarnations as well。 in the mysterious world,there are the paradise and the hell,the celestial beings and the gods,the buddha and the bodhisattvas。

  maybe they really believed it,or maybe they just wanted to make use of people's veneration,the ancient emperors always declared that they were the real dragons,the sons of god,while the royal ministers claimed to be the reincarnations of various constellations。 but can the stars reincarnate?

  many people burn incense and kowtow,do good deeds and strive for virtues,not just for the present,but mainly to let god see their sincerity so as to be reborn into a better afterlife,or to achieve the highest enlightenment after several lives of practice。 they do believe in afterlife。 but i can't help asking:suppose there were no afterlife,would you still do good deeds and strive for virtues?and if god does not see what you are doing,would you still be so upright and selfless?if you work,not for serving the public and liberating the others,but just for a better afterlife of your own,isn't it a little too selfish?comparing with this kind of believers,those who don't believe in afterlife,but still keep doing good deeds,are the most sincere and honest philanthropists,because they do them not for themselves but for other。

  you may wonder if i believe in afterlife。 my answer is:i know nothing about my previous life,so i dare not make improper comments on afterlife。 but i do hope there's afterlife!because our present life is so short that so many things slip away before our proper understanding。 i have so many dreams,so many wishes,so many ambitions,as well as so many regrets and concerns。 if there were no afterlife,all of them will remain unrealized!

  i'm not contented with the present commonplace life,i'm very much attached to the affections that should have been mine but have been washed away by the hurrying time,and i yearn for the perfection and maturity if i could start all over again。 so believe it or not,i'd rather there were afterlife。

  四、活动简述

  本次活动面向全体中学生,比赛为初赛、复赛、决赛三个环节。活动不仅能为同学们提供一个展示自己能力与才华的舞台、丰富课余生活,而且可以提高同学们学*英语的热情与激情。

  五、活动流程

  1、初赛、复赛(时间:10月8日—10月11日)

  说明:初赛、复赛各班自行举办,每班选出8名英语口语、表达及综合能力较强者进入复赛,在复赛中选出最优秀的4名选手参加决赛。提倡办出特色,办出水*,推举优秀选手,以保证比赛质量。

  2、决赛:(时间:10月17日星期四下午2:00—4:50)

  说明:演讲主题不限,选手可在主题范围内自定小标题。演讲内容可涉及学*、工作、生活中的点点滴滴,人生观、价值取向,人与人之间的关系等方面。文体形式不限,可叙述、可议论、可抒情,但要真实,体现个性。语言风格要求生动活泼,有感染力。每人限时三分钟。

  (1)、选手演讲顺序于比赛前一天抽签决定,参赛选手出场顺序按抽签决定,从小号到大号依次参加比赛。

  (2)、比赛程序:

  A。比赛开始:主持人入场,介绍领导,宣布赛制。B。选手依次登台演讲。

  A。 成绩计算:评委根据选手综合表现现场打分(评分保留两位小数),评委成绩中去掉一个最高分和一个最低分后的*均分为参赛选手的最终成绩。

  2后勤组 组长:(李*:杨婕 张春花)负责比赛现场的布置,观众*安排及入场引导,采购和保管纪念品、奖品、黑色粗笔和中性笔。配合其他各组工作,保证比赛的顺利进行。

  八、注意事项

  1、提前通知所有参赛人员,若在比赛中,三次提示未到的选手,视为自动放弃比赛。

  2、初赛各班选拔参赛选手要认真对待。

  3、抽签做到公*公正。

  4、各负责人及评委保证比赛时的秩序,在每场比赛前做好充分的准备工作,以利于选手在比赛时发挥自己的最佳水*。

  5、演讲者到指定区域就坐,其他同学以班级为单位就坐。

  6、评分要严格按照评分标准进行,最后负责人上缴评分原始材料。

  7、选手进行3分钟自选题目的演讲,演讲尽量为脱稿演讲。

  8、各班级选择男女主持各一名;进入决赛选手名单、演讲稿提前一周上交。

  比赛三个环节每部分具体评判标准如下:演讲内容(占40%):要求紧扣主题,观点鲜明,内容生动,具有创意性,演讲结构清晰,论据充足,逻辑性强;语言表达(占40%):要求语音准确,语调准确,表达流畅,富有感染力;综合印象(占20%):要求仪表大方,举止得体,富有表现力,能够灵活运用表情和身体语言与观众交流。

  It's my honor to speak here and I am very glad to share my topic with all of you. Today I'd like to talk about “my dream”. I do not just have one dream, in fact, I have three. They are: a healthy life, a happy family and to travel my great country.

  I have always admired the long healthy life my grandparents have. They are older than 80 years of age and they are still alive and kicking! How do they do that!? My grandparents plant vegetables and grow rice themselves; even in their old age they still make food for themselves! I guess that is why they can remain healthy. More importantly they remain humble and never ask for too much from life. Perhaps that makes them common, but they live a happy life. My grandmother once told me this:” I do not want to live long, only long enough for some grand children to be running around in my house”. I want to live a long, healthy and happy life just as they have.

  Since my graduation from primary school, until now, every time on my birthday I make the same wish. I wish my parents will not fight anymore. I am not complaining that they gave me a bad childhood, they just fight so much! I am unhappy but that does not mean they do not love me. They do! They love me with all their heart. I love my parents also; I want them to live a happy life as well.

  I want to travel this great country of ours. I want to see the beauty of our country. I want to see the miracles that made this country great! I want to go from the east to west, from the north all the way down to the south! I have a dream, that one day I can travel and see my country with my family and friends! If that is not possible, seeing my country on my own is good enough also. If I can fulfill all three of my dreams in life, then God can take me away. I would be happy, and l would have lived a full and prosperous life.

  今天,我们在这里举行师德演讲,我又一次听到了“德”字,不由得想起《陋室铭》里的一句话:“斯是陋室,唯吾德馨。”表达了作者不因环境等因素的影响,始终能够保持良好品德的至高境界。然而,达到这种境界,并非一日两日之功。在树立良好师德的过程中,我始终用三个标准衡量自身:

  1、是否热爱自己的工作;

  2、是否爱自己的孩子;

  3、是否具有为了工作,开拓进取、不断创新的精神。相信在场的每一位老师在听到这三点的时候,都会不由得以此为标准衡量自己。然而,做一个客观公正的评价,也要看工作以来的一贯表现,

  然而,工作中没有掌声,没有鲜花,更没有此起彼伏的喝彩,有的,只是和孩子们*实的相处,他们哭了,我要去哄他们;他们闹矛盾了,我又要当裁判,给他讲道理;拉了,吐了,还要帮他们收拾,打理;有的只是工作一天下来,疲惫的身躯;有的只是,日复一日琐碎的工作;理想在哪里?报复在哪里?于是,我茫然了,这样的生活,离我想象中的太远。想象中的我,应该穿着职业装,拎着包,穿梭于不同的城市,接触不同的人,尽管辛苦,却感觉着不同的生活,享受着成功的喜悦。可是,我选择了幼儿教师,就等于选择了不一样的生活。不同的职业性质不同,却都有着这样那样的艰辛。比如提起医生,大家会说:“他们工资高呀!”可是,当他们一大早就坐在诊室里一个个为病人看病的时候,您不觉得他们辛苦么?提起警察,有的人会说:“他们多威风啊!穿着警服,开着警车......”可是,当他们在风雪里为我们指挥交通的时候,当他们为了擒拿歹徒冲锋陷阵的时候,当他们,为了侦破案件整夜加班的.时候,您还只看到他们的威风么?因此,工作者是一种责任,更是自我价值的体现。随着时间的推移,我也日渐成熟,认清了工作的价值,于是,现在的我,成了这个样子:清晨,当悠扬的音乐响起,我开始一天的工作,我会带着清新的笑脸,迎来可爱的孩子们:

  1、我会把哭闹的孩子揽到怀里,用亲切的话语安慰他们;

  2、我会和孩子们一起收集资料,为了一个问题而争论不休;

  3、我会扮成大猫,在孩子们拉起的老鼠洞外跑来跑去,和他们一起游戏,听他们兴奋的尖叫;

  4、我会和他们一起蹲下来,观察采花粉的蝴蝶为何一动也不动;

  5、我会和班上的老师一起,走进孩子的家庭,和他们交流,当我听到孩子的父母告诉我,孩子为了等我一大早就起床了的消息时,我又会,默默地感动;

  6、我会在我的笔记里,记下孩子的喜怒哀乐,分析这些情况,找出有针对性的教育方法,帮他们进步;

  7、爱,是一切美好行为的动力和源泉,只有爱,才会修成良好的品德。时间犹如看风景,稍瞬即逝,我要好好抓住他们,好好爱我的孩子们。

  1、比赛规则

  比赛采取一轮制,共分为三个环节:

  3、报名截止时间:进入决赛的每位选手欲3月25号中午12点之前必须将自己的演讲稿及报名表打印一份交到团委,逾期不到视为弃权。
