  The most positive way of dealing with anger is talking about the problem. I talk to someone who listens, or I'll write my thoughts down on paper. Learning how to deal with anger as you're growing up is so important. When you're younger, you might yell, or cry when you're angry, but as you get older, you're expected to handle your emotions much better.

  Learning to control your emotion now will prevent you from doing something that you'll regret later on in life!

  My father was a self-taught mandolin player. He was one of the best string instrument players in our town. He could not read music, but if he heard a tune a few times, he could play it. When he was younger, he was a member of a small country music band. They would play at local dances and on a few occasions would play for the local radio station. He often told us how he had auditioned and earned a position in a band that featured Patsy Cline as their lead singer. He told the family that after he was hired he never went back. Dad was a very religious man. He stated that there was a lot of drinking and cursing the day of his audition and he did not want to be around that type of environment.

  Occasionally, Dad would get out his mandolin and play for the family. We three children: Trisha, Monte and I, George Jr., would often sing along. Songs such as the Tennessee Waltz, Harbor Lights and around Christmas time, the well-known rendition of Silver Bells. "Silver Bells, Silver Bells, its Christmas time in the city" would ring throughout the house. One of Dads favorite hymns was "The Old Rugged Cross". We learned the words to the hymn when we were very young, and would sing it with Dad when he would play and sing. Another song that was often shared in our house was a song that accompanied the Walt Disney series: Davey Crockett. Dad only had to hear the song twice before he learned it well enough to play it. "Davey, Davey Crockett, King of the Wild Frontier" was a favorite song for the family. He knew we enjoyed the song and the program and would often get out the mandolin after the program was over. I could never get over how he could play the songs so well after only hearing them a few times. I loved to sing, but I never learned how to play the mandolin. This is something I regret to this day.

  Dad loved to play the mandolin for his family he knew we enjoyed singing, and hearing him play. He was like that. If he could give pleasure to others, he would, especially his family. He was always there, sacrificing his time and efforts to see that his family had enough in their life. I had to mature into a man and have children of my own before I realized how much he had sacrificed.

  I joined the United States Air Force in January of 1962. Whenever I would come home on leave, I would ask Dad to play the mandolin. Nobody played the mandolin like my father. He could touch your soul with the tones that came out of that old mandolin. He seemed to shine when he was playing. You could see his pride in his ability to play so well for his family.

  When Dad was younger, he worked for his father on the farm. His father was a farmer and sharecropped a farm for the man who owned the property. In 1950, our family moved from the farm. Dad had gained employment at the local limestone quarry. When the quarry closed in August of 1957, he had to seek other employment. He worked for Owens Yacht Company in Dundalk, Maryland and for Todd Steel in Point of Rocks, Maryland. While working at Todd Steel, he was involved in an accident. His job was to roll angle iron onto a conveyor so that the welders farther up the production line would have it to complete their job. On this particular day Dad got the third index finger of his left hand mashed between two pieces of steel. The doctor who operated on the finger could not save it, and Dad ended up having the tip of the finger amputated. He didnt lose enough of the finger where it would stop him picking up anything, but it did impact his ability to play the mandolin.

  After the accident, Dad was reluctant to play the mandolin. He felt that he could not play as well as he had before the accident. When I came home on leave and asked him to play he would make excuses for why he couldnt play. Eventually, we would wear him down and he would say "Okay, but remember, I cant hold down on the strings the way I used to" or "Since the accident to this finger I cant play as good". For the family it didnt make any difference that Dad couldnt play as well. We were just glad that he would play. When he played the old mandolin it would carry us back to a cheerful, happier time in our lives. "Davey, Davey Crockett, King of the Wild Frontier", would again be heard in the little town of Bakerton, West Virginia.

  In August of 1993 my father was diagnosed with inoperable lung cancer. He chose not to receive chemotherapy treatments so that he could live out the rest of his life in dignity. About a week before his death, we asked Dad if he would play the mandolin for us. He made excuses but said "okay". He knew it would probably be the last time he would play for us. He tuned up the old mandolin and played a few notes. When I looked around, there was not a dry eye in the family. We saw before us a quiet humble man with an inner strength that comes from knowing God, and living with him in ones life. Dad would never play the mandolin for us again. We felt at the time that he wouldnt have enough strength to play, and that makes the memory of that day even stronger. Dad was doing something he had done all his life, giving. As sick as he was, he was still pleasing others. Dad sure could play that Mandolin!

  父亲喜欢为家人弹奏曼陀林,他知道我们喜欢唱歌,喜欢听他弹奏。他就是那样,如果他能把快乐奉献给别人,他从不吝啬,尤其是对他的家人。他总是那样,牺牲自己的时间和精力让家人生活得满足。父亲的这种付出是只有当我长大**,而且是有了自己的孩子后才能体会到的。

  我在1962年1月加入了美国空军基地。每当我休假回家,我都请求父亲弹奏曼陀林。没有人弹奏曼陀林能达到像我父亲那样的境界,他在那古老的曼陀林上抚出的旋律能够触及你的灵魂。他弹奏的时候,身上似乎能发出四射的光芒。你可以看出,父亲为能给家人弹奏出如此美妙的旋律,他是多么的自豪。

  父亲年轻的时候,曾在农场为爷爷工作。爷爷是农场使用者,要向农场所有人交纳谷物抵租。1950年,我们全家搬离农场,父亲在当地石灰石采石场谋得职位。采石场在1957年倒闭,他只好另觅工作。他曾在马里兰州登多克的欧文斯游艇公司上班,还在马里兰州的洛斯的托德钢铁公司上过班。在托德钢铁公司上班期间,他遇到了意外。他的工作是把有棱角的铁滚到搬运台上,这样焊接工才能作进一步加工来完成整个工序。在那个特殊的日子里,父亲的

  左手第三个手指被缠在两片钢铁中。医生对手指施手术,但未能保住那只手指,最后父亲只好让医生把那手指的指尖给切除了。那个手指并没有完全丧失拿东西的能力,但是却影响了他弹奏曼陀林的能力。

  事故后,父亲不太愿意弹奏曼陀林了,他觉得再也不能像以前弹得那么好了。我休假回家请求他弹奏曼陀林,他以种种借口解释不能弹奏的原因。最后,我们软硬兼施逼他就范,他终于说:"好吧,但是记住,我拨弦再也不能像过去一样了。"或者会说:"这个手指出意外后,我再也不能弹得像过去那样好了。"对于家人来说,父亲弹得好不好并没有分别,我们很高兴他终于弹奏了。当他弹起那把陈旧的曼陀林,就会把我们带回昔日那些无忧无虑的幸福时光。"戴维,戴维?克罗克特,荒野边疆的国王"就会再次响彻西弗吉尼亚州的贝克顿小镇。

初中英语整本书阅读培训心得体会1

  本次暑期小学英语教师培训班的培训内容丰富,有英语文化、中西文化对比、英语语言训练、英语教学技能与方法等多方面内容,通过小学英语教师的培训,我学到了许多新的知识和教育方法,提高了自身的基本素质,开拓了眼界,为今后的英语教学奠定了基础。

  一、心得体会

  在培训中给我印象最深的是北美教师那生动幽默的教学方法和以学生为主体的教学理念。北美英语教师擅长用艺术性教学,艺术性教学指的是把教学活动作为创造性的,给人带来美感的艺术活动来对待,充分发掘学生的学*语言潜力的一种教学手段。在英语的艺术教学过程中,教师把一般性的听、说、读、写教学活动上升为美的创造和欣赏,使学*过程变得愉快、轻松。学生的动机、兴趣、情感、自信心等非智力因素自然得到开发。艺术性教学是通往良好的语言环境的重要途径。常见的艺术化教学形式有:游戏、表演、猜谜、唱歌等。

  此外北美教师在课堂上常用TPR教学法,TPR即全身反应法,我觉得这种教学法在课堂上实施起来容易,且能让学生边做动作,边学知识,学生学得比较活跃。医学界认为人只有不断地运动,促进血液循环,脑部才能得到足够的营养。小学时期是学生脑部发育的关键时期,老是让学生像木头一样,上课要一本正经地坐着,会严重阻碍他们脑部的正常发育,影响他们的思维能力,这不利于他们的健康成长。另一方面,儿童教育心理学认为:小学生是好运动的,即使是小学高年级学生,若要让其坐着而手脚不动是困难的,这不利于他们的学*和发育。我想,全身反应法使课堂成为让学生动起来的课堂,这样,课堂上动起来,会在一定程度上缓冲学生的疲劳。

  在教学中北美教师注重面向全体学生,为学生全面发展和终身发展奠定基础。鼓励学生大胆地使用英语,对他们学*过程中的失误和错误采取宽容的态度,为他们提供了自主学*和相互交流的机会以及充分表现和自我发展的空间,鼓励学生通过实践,合作等方式发展听、说、读的综合语言能力。

  北美教师非常关注学生的情感,课堂上注重营造宽松、民主和谐的教学氛围。在教学中他们的言谈举止,音容笑貌都能体现出对学生的尊重,把英语教学与情感教育有机地结合起来,创设各种合作学*的活动,促使学生互相学*,互相帮助,体现集体荣誉感和成就感,发展合作精神建立融洽、民主的师生交流渠道,做到了教学相长。

  北美教师注重拓展学生的文化视野,发展他们的实践能力。在教学中北美老师常用简笔画、唱歌、演剧等方法进行教学,简比画是一个很好的教学方式,通过几笔简单的勾画就能让学生直观,生动地感受到他们的内涵意义;演剧、唱歌也是特别好的方法,课堂唱歌、演剧不仅活跃了课堂气氛,也加强了英语口语的练*,同时也能培养学生的独立表演能力和团队精神,同时也体现了成功的乐趣,从而达到了用英语交流和做事的目的。

  二、建议与意见

  另外对于小学英语教师的培训我有一些不成熟的想法:由于小学英语教师大多是转岗教英语,水*参差不齐,大多没有经过正规的英语专业学*,因而在培训中,首先狠抓语言基本技能的培训,培训可采取分班教学,循序渐进的办法。培训的内容应涉及英语阅读、中西方文化差异、儿童心理学、英语教材教法理论、英语课堂教学设计、课堂活动组织、英语授课、活动教学等。其次,加强口语特别是语音的训练。小学英语教师除了要有娴熟的英语教学理念和技巧之外,良好的英语口语能力也是不可或缺少的。第三,集中与分散相结合培训。如暑假开学前集中几天培训为开课做准备。内容可讲字母书写、语音语调、教唱英语歌曲、简笔画等基本功训练,及熟悉英语教材的特点。学期中集中几天解决小学英语课的课堂操作,并进行课堂模式研讨会,优秀教师现场作课。进行集体说课、备课等活动,使绝大多数转岗英语教师尽快进入角色,在大胆的摸索中,逐渐掌握小学英语课每部分的操作力度,体现愉快教学。期中、期末各可集中培训一天,分散培训他们对教材重点、难点及考试评估形式的掌握。并要求以各乡为单位试出一份期末试题,以审查他们对该教材的重、难点的理解及对一至四会内容的把握。

  总之,本次培训对我来说的确是受益匪浅,从中不但开阔了我的文化知识视野,同时也吸取了不少新的教育方法和理论,但是在我心中还有一点遗憾,就是有恨——恨这次的培训时间太短太短,太短了!自己所学远远不能满足教学的需要,在此我衷心的希望在今后的教学中多开展一些类似的培训活动,多给我们一些学*的机会,以便使我们的小学英语教学再登新台阶。

  伴着淅沥的雨和清凉的风,为期一周的暑期英语教师培训结束了,请允许我在这里真诚地表达我的谢意。感谢教育局领导,组织了这次让我终身难忘的特殊的培训经历,给了我这个难得的与名师共同交流,共同学*,共同进步的机会。我是湖北咸丰一名普通的小学英语教师,我虽然很热爱小学英语教育事业,但理论知识与实践操作能力尚处于低水*阶段。在这次培训中,我认真聆听了各位专家和名师的授课,感觉受益匪浅,并把我的心得与体会记录下来,与各位英语教师共勉。

  我县于20_年秋季学期正式开设了从小学三年级至六年级的英语学科课程,而今,我也经历了许多的英语课程培训,但唯独这次的武汉培训之行,虽然时间短,但是收效却是巨大的。,一周的学*是短暂的,但通过《简笔画在小学英语教学中的运用》、《英语课堂教学设计》、《小学英语教具制作和板书设计》、《小学英语课堂用语》等课程的学*,使我在思想上、业务理论上、工作实践上都受益匪浅,同时也看到了自己与他人的差距,明确了自己在教学上的奋斗目标,同时,也进一步了解和把握了新课改的发展方向和目标,反思了以往工作中的不足。一些对教育教学工作很有见解的省、市教研员以鲜活的实例和丰富的知识内涵及精湛的理论阐述,使我的教育教学观念进一步得到更新。下面是我通过培训获得的几个方面的体会:在此,我想谈谈自己的一些感想和体会:

  此次给我们授课的老师基本都是来自小学英语教研员和来自教学一线的老师。我要特别感谢和我们共同相处一周,敬职敬业的老师们,他们随意而不失严谨,广博而不失幽默的教学风格,都给我留下了非常深刻的印象,也让我从中受益匪浅。

  教学总在不断的总结和尝试。在教学模式和方法上,一定要重体验、重实践、重参与、重创造。这就要求我们教师在教学设计上要贴*生活,符合学生兴趣的需求,我们给学生设计的教学内容要能引起学生的兴趣,例如单词教学、会话表演、游戏活动等;教学的语言材料要真实、实用。学生在课上通过用中学、学中用,反复实践,学用结合。采用多种媒体的现代化教学手段,创设良好的语言环境和充分的语言实践机会,优化教学过程。

  灵活多样的教学方法来自哪里?来自不断更新的教育理念,来自我们的不断发展的教育实践,来自我们孜孜不倦的探索研究和学*。在今后的工作中,我要把学到的知识,多用在实际教学中去,力争使自己和学生共同进步,为英语教学做出自己的贡献。感觉到授课老师们知识真的很渊博。我更加明白了一个道理:一桶水和一碗水的关系!老师要教好学生,没有丰富的科学文化知识是不行的。所以上课之余,我利用了很多空余时间书店买很多相关的书籍,我想,这次培训完之后我要好好刻苦学*自己的专业知识以及相关的教学理论知识,来充实自己的大脑!

  此次培训为我们提供了一个很好的学*机会,开阔了我们的视野,增长了我们的见识。我发现自身在教学上存在着许多的不足之处,作为年轻教师,作为一线英语教师,我感到肩上的担子更重了,我一定要多努力学*。今后,我会在教材的钻研上多下功夫,在新的课程改革的带动下,转变教育思想改变教学模式,实施真正意义的主体性教学,我会尽量将学到的知识技能运用到小学英语课堂教学中。我会加倍努力,在以后的教育教学中勤于思考,善于分析,争取成为一名优秀的小学英语教师!

  英语是一门学语言的学科。通常情况下,刚开始,学生对这一学科都具有浓厚的兴趣,可随着课程的不断深入,要求记忆的词汇量逐渐增大。大多学生在单词的记忆上都感觉很难,而且,有的学生因此而产生厌学情绪。针对英语教材设置特点,如何使学生对英语学*有兴趣?仔细阅读了《疑难问题解答》中的部分章节,对自己有了更深的触动。

  “兴趣是最好的老师。”因此,在课堂如何提高学生的学*兴趣,是我首先应该考虑的问题。在教学中我常遵循以下的教学方法,并收到了一定的效果。

  1、第一时间教会学生一些日常用语。

  初学英语时,学生都感到有一种神秘感,想尽快说一些英语。我选择一些耳熟能详的口语,尽快教会学生,能极大地激发他们的学*热情。如:Hello。Good morning。Good night。Thank you。Bye。Happy Birthday。等一些在电视或日常生活中能听到学到的英语。

  2、以有趣的方式教学

  在课堂英语教学,要使教学生动活泼,气氛热烈,就要形式多样。例如:教动物单词,可以通过动物的叫声引出各个单词,以孙悟空、唐老鸭、米老鼠等动画巩固单词,再形象地利用动物的动作,学生一边做动作,一边学*monkey,duck,mouse等单词,滑稽的动作表演引来学生一阵阵笑声。最后,教师利用多媒体动画片把学生带到动物园,复*巩固单词。

  3、多创造表演的机会

  在新教材里,Let′s talk。 Let′s do。的内容非常适合学生表演,我就鼓励学生到讲台上说英语,或分组表演,既锻炼了学生的口语能力,又可以使学生产生一种成就感。这种成就感使学生产生了自信心,一个人有了自信心,就能使自己不屈不挠地继续学*,从而提高了学*的兴趣。

  4、尽量帮助学生减压、多多创造成功机会

  学*兴趣的保持在很大程度上取决于学*的效果,取决于学生能否获得成就感。所以,利用多种方式,从多方面为学生创造成功机会,才能诱导学生参与学*活动,产生成功体验,从而激发形成自我学*的内部动力机制。对学生的表现采取欣赏鼓励的态度,对学生的错误采取宽松包容的态度,就不会伤害学生的学*积极性。学生受到的压力越小,学*的兴趣就越高。比如,在提问学生时,当她/他不能回答问题时,建议她/他“拨打”求助“热线”,请自己的好友帮助回答,也可以允许学生要求提示或去掉错误答案。只要回答正确,都给予他们热情的鼓励和夸张的语言表扬,让他们充满自信心,感觉英语没有什么了不起,自己一定能学好它,从而树立起英语学*的心理优势。

  5、小组活动有利于学生掌握词汇,使学生感觉英语学*不难。

  英语的一大特点——词汇量大,要求记忆的内容多。通常的教学方法是,教师教读几遍,然后让学生读来背。有的学生经过不断的机械记忆,能够记住几个单词;可有的甚至根本不会读。照这样下去,学生会感觉学英语很难,这导致了大多学生不喜欢英语。对此,我采取小组活动的形式,更有利于学生掌握。即把全部学生分成几个小组,每一组里进行手拉手帮扶活动。首先,会读的同学帮助不会读的同学,让不会读的同学也变得会读。因为学生与学生之间更好交流,所以,记单词也有一定效果,而且还可用学过的单词说话。这样,不但使学生很快掌握枯燥的词汇,还增进了同学间的友谊,有利于学生社会协作能力的培养。可是一星期三节英语课,学生上完课后根本没时间进行小组活动,多数时间都是用在写语文和数学作业中,没有足够的时间去练是根本达不到学英语的目的的。这也是我们英语老师目前感到最头痛的事。

  6、鼓励关照落后学生,共同完成教学任务

  教学中我一方面指导和帮助较差学生,另一方面鼓励和要求学困生尽最大努力去完成教学任务。利用课间午休和托管时间帮助后进生学*基础知识,并协调好班主任和家长的工作,以利于自己工作的进行。

  通过上课、辅导、观察,我得出这样一个结论,一是自己在课堂教学中还需变换多种方式保持学生学*兴趣,二是学生学*英语一定要有好的*惯。学*英语和学语文一样,都是学语言的,要求语文大声朗读,因此英语更要朗读,甚至比语文读得还要多;课后及时复*相当重要,学生在课堂上学得快,忘得也快,如果不及时复*就无法跟上下节课的新授知识;掌握单词的发音规则,自己能试着读出并根据发音写出单词的拼写。功夫用在*日,这点对自己和对学生都非常重要。

  以往的英语阅读课堂,是按照学生阅读文本,然后做文段后面题目的程序进行的。这种单一的阅读模式难以使学生的阅读兴趣保持长久。建立互动课堂模式,能够使学生保持充沛的精力投入阅读,在阅读中掌握技巧、提升能力。例如,笔者在*日阅读教学课堂上引入竞争机制,以小组为单位展开阅读竞赛。包括阅读以后问题的设置,都是由学生来完成。问题完成后,由小组建间相互提问,看哪个组能够在规定时间内设置问题最多,哪个组能够圆满完成其它组提出的问题。教师在阅读课堂上只是引导者、组织者、点拨者,通过阅读,使学生掌握略读、精读、跳读、视读等阅读技巧。此外,还可以让学生将阅读文本创编成对话、英语课本剧、解说词等形式进行表演练*,教师要给予及时指导、评价,使学生达到能够熟练运用的程度,才能确保阅读教学的有效和高效。

  三、阅读中注重文化元素的渗透,扫除学生阅读障碍
