When the Commodore 64 personal com*r debuted, I convinced myself that I had to have it even though its price was out of my mother’s range. So I decided to earn the money myself. I mowed every yard I could find that summer for a few dollars each, yet it still wasn’t enough. So my dad agreed to help me raise the rest of the money by driving me to one of the watermelon farms south of town, loading up his truck with wholesale melons and driving me around to sell them.

He came for me before daybreak. We made small talk, but it didn’t matter. The fact that he was talking to me was all that mattered. I was a teenager by then, but this was the first time that I had ever spent time alone with him. He laughed and repeatedly introduced me as “my boy,” a phrase he relayed with a palpable sense of pride. It was one of the best days of my life.

A young school teacher had a dream that an angel appeared to him and said, “You will be given a child who will grow up to become a world leader. How will you prepare her so that she will realize her intelligence, grow in confidence, develop both her assertiveness and sensitivity, be open-minded, yet strong in character？”
The young teacher awoke in a cold sweat. It had never occurred to him before——any ONE of his present or future students could be the person described in his dream. Was he preparing them to rise to ANY POSITION to which they may aspire？ He thought, “How might my teaching change if I KNEW that one of my students were this person？” He gradually began to formulate a plan in his mind.
This student would need experience as well as instruction. His teaching changed. Every young person who walked through his classroom became, for him, a future world leader. He saw each one, not as they were, but as they could be. He expected the best from his students, yet tempered it with compassion. He taught each one as if the future of the world depended on his instruction.
After many years, a woman he knew rose to a position of world prominence. He realized that she must surely have been the girl described in his dream. Only she was not one of his students, but rather his daughter. For of all the various teachers in her life, her father was the best.
I’ve heard it said that “Children are living messages we send to a time and place we will never see.” But this isn’t sim* a parable about an unnamed school teacher. It is a parable about you and me——whether or not we are parents or even teachers. And the story, OUR story, actually begins like this:
“You will be given a child who will grow up to become…” You finish the sentence. If not a world leader, then a superb father？ An excellent teacher？ A gifted healer？ An innovative problem solver？ An inspiring artist？ A generous philanthropist？
Where and how you will encounter this child is a mystery. But believe that one child’s future may depend upon influence only you can provide, and something remarkable will happen. For no young person will ever be ordinary to you again. And you will never be the same.
my son brendan cried his first day of school。 even mrs。 phillips， a kind， soft-spoken master of the six-year-old mind， could not coax him to a seat。 his eyes streamed， his nose ran and he clung to me like a snail on a strawberry。 i plucked him off and escaped。

one day when i took brendan back after lunch， he spied a friend， kissed me goodbye， and scampered right off。 i went， feeling pleased for him， celebrating his new independence， his entry into the first-grade social loop。 then—i didn't know why—i glanced back。 and there he was。 the playground buzzed all around him， kids everywhere， and he stood， his chin tucked close， his body held small， his face intent but not sad， blowing me kisses。 so brave， so unashamed， so completely loving， brendan was watching me go。
no book on mothering could have prepared me for that quick， raw glimpse into my child's soul。 my mind leaped 15 years ahead to him packing boxes and his dog grown old and him saying， "dry up， mom。 it's not like i'm leaving the country。" in my mind i tore up the card every mother signs saying she'll let her child go when he's ready。 i looked at my brendan， his shirt tucked in， every button done up， his toes just turned in a bit， and i thought， "ok， you're six for me forever。" with a smile i had to really dig for， i blew him a kiss， turned and walked away。

My introverted nature was quite a stumbling block with my parental relationship. In fact, my dad is also a introvert, we rarely communicate with each other. As a paternal figure, I dont have any complaints about my father. Even though he doesnt have high education nor good advice for me nor a nexcellent example for my life, but one thing I am sure is that he loved me. 我出院了，一家人很高兴，为我摆满月酒，可是好景不长，我又患上了严重的感冒，正月初一晚上发高烧达四十多摄氏度，爸爸妈妈急坏了，连夜包车送往新安江医院，打针、挂盐水、吃药。现在想起来父母给我带大可真不容易啊!长大后，我一定要好好地报答他们。
光阴似箭，日月如梭，我很快长到了八岁该上学了，父母为了我的身体能更好些，放弃星期六的休息时间，陪我到新安*少年宫学练跆拳道，学练跆拳道虽然很辛苦，但过了一段时间我就喜欢上了，因为他不但锻炼了我的意志，更是增强了我的体质。从此，让我远离了感冒。
我的爸爸妈妈*时工作很忙，可是每次出差回来总忘不了给我带一些我特别爱吃的，尤其是肯德基、薯片、鲜奶等。我也会和他们一起享受这些美食，因为爸爸妈妈爱我，我也爱他们。
