参观完了育英二外，我们又回到了教室，进行最后一个环节：用英文说出你现在的感受以及想法，不少于2句话，奖品是一个学*英语的软件。很多同学紧张起来，害怕billy选自己上台。举手的人寥寥无几，尽管我也有些紧张，但是我还是勇敢地举起了手。果然，我被老师选了上去，我说得还不错，要是再流利些就好了。最后，我拿到了奖品。看来，做任何事情都要勇敢，不要退缩，只要努力，就不会失败。
今天，我既开心得玩了一场，又学了很多英语单词，收获不小呀!
随着上课铃声响起，英语老师Miss Qiu走进教室，“Class beging！”英语老师在讲台上一声令下，今天的英语课大战又要开始了！与往常不同，今天，英语老师在黑板上写上了“gril”和“boy”。哦，今天是男孩和女孩的较量，我瞪了一眼正得意洋洋的林艺铮，心中暗想：哼！别高兴得太早！我们自信满满的男生可不会输！
大战开始了，先是“看图念单词”，我、佳澍等几位男同学踊跃答题，使我们男生的分数一路遥遥领先。接着是“拼单词、读句子”，我们更是对答如流，胜券在握。可好景不长，到了“接龙”环节，几个开小差的男生被揪了出来，他们读不出指定的单词，使得女生的分数像芝麻开花——节节高，一下子追了上来。
在这关键时刻，吴昱璋“光荣”而又很“争气”地出卖了我们男生，不仅开了小差，还满口胡言，说自己是女的。“男生因为吴昱璋扣两分！”这下，那些女生可得意了！
不一会儿就下课了，这次女生以高出三分的优势取胜，而我们男生却大败而归。

Ten years ago, there were many narrow streets.But now many streets have been widened. So buses and cars can go more quickly than before. Ten years ago , it was not convenient to go from the north of the city to the south. But now, you are sure to reach anywhere in less than an hour. To our joy, we have two underground lines and many more are being built. We seldom find traffic jam in rush hours. So we don't have to worry about going out. With the development of science and technology, the transportation in Shanghai will become all the better.
My favorite city is Shanghai, which is a very medern and beautiful city. Shanghai is located in the east of China and it is the biggest city in China. I have been to Shanghai for many times and it has left a deep impression in my mind.
I enjoyed the view from the top of the Jing Mao Building and I was attracted by the traditional temple mixed with modern skyscapers. You see, Shanghai is a city of both tradition and development. I really like it.
I took a trip to Shanghai with my mother during the seven-day holiday. It took us more than two hours to drive to Shanghai from my home in Haimen. We stayed in a large hotel on the eighth floor. On the first day, I just stayed in the hotel and rested.
On the second day, my brother and I went to Nanjing Road. It’s the busiest street in Shanghai. When we got there, there were lots of people. We walked from one shop to another. I bought two T-shirts and two pairs of trousers for the coming summer. The T-shirts and trousers I bought are all white because white is my favourite colour. My brother also bought some clothes.
On the third day, my mother took me to Jinjiang Entertainment Centre. It was full of people. I played many kinds of games there. I had a good time. The other days, I went to some other interesting places, such as the Oriental Bright Pearl TV Tower, the Huangpu River and Shanghai International Conference Centre. I didn’t forget to do my homework in the evening. I had a full and happy holiday.

On the first day, we went to China Pavilion. Its an important building. Its magnificent and unique. And then we came to the top of the Oriental Pearl. Its the landmark of Shanghai. Looking down from the top of the 258-meter tower, cars were like beetles and roads were like ribbons. There were also many delicious snacks in Shanghai, such as small steamed bun and scallion noodles. Their delicacy left me a strong aftertaste.
During the following days, we went to The Bund, Science Museum and even The Docks. Shanghai is a beautiful city! The scenery there was beautiful , fantastic at night. In the evening , when I walked around the city, I was dee* attracted by the beautiful scenery, What an amazing city! I hope to visit Shanghai next time.
Entrance into the Expo, the first thing your eyes is a huge century flower clock, it's about 3 meters in diameter, the Flower Clock are big users of colorful flowers decorated, and it accurately reports the garden to the people of time. and then go forward, we see the colorful flowers composed of magnificent sight-seeing, it is said, it is a replica of Zheng He's Treasure Ship manufactured under the sunset, I could not help but imagine, I stood on the bow, turned into a awe-inspiring captain, in command of my ship boldly forward setting ..... until the students called me when I did wake up.

I give a presentation in a new class or when I meet some new friends in the university. However, I never think I am a qualified Shanghainese because I can't speak Shanghai dialect well though I have lived here for more than ten years. Certainly you will be curious of how this happened.
I am not a Shanghai native. I was born in Chengdu, Sichuan, where my parents went to decades ago because of the great revolution in the 1970s. I spent my first five years there.Then I moved to Hangzhou as my parents thought I should receive formal school education .
The first day I spent in the primary school in Hangzhou didn't bring me any joy. On the contrary, I felt quite sad because many pupils laughed at my Sichuan dialect which was rarely heard there. I cried sadly at home that evening. How could a six-year-old child bear being laughed at by so many people? I only wished that I would never go to school again but of course my parents wouldn't approve. You can imagine how I felt when my parents held my hands and led me all the way to school. I felt lonely in the totally strange classroom with the totally strange people who, I thought ,were looking at me with ironic smiles on their faces. At that time the only thing I could do to avoid being laughed at was to learn Putonghua, which is used all over China and which could help save my dignity. Every child has got a talent for learning language, as it is known to all. So in approxi mately three months I could speak Putonghua as fluently as any other pupil in the class. Since then l never spoke a single word in Sichuan dialect. The experience taught me that speaking dialect hardly had any good on me.
Before I could find out whether abandoning a dialect so quickly was beneficial for me or not, my parents moved to Shanghai to work here. Undoubtedly, they brought me here,which meant I should again study in a new place. I was eight years old then. My parents brought me to school the next day we moved to Shanghai. Before I approached the door of the teacher's office I heard people in the office were talking with a dialect that I could not understand. Though the teachers talked to me kindly in Putonghua when they saw me tiptoeing into the office I was worried what I could do if I couldn't understand Shanghai dialect. Hardly had I made up my mind to study Shanghai dialect when I stepped into a small shop to buy a bottle of orange juice to relieve my thirsty caused by the anxiety of golng to the new school. I talked to the shop assistanct that I wanted a bottle of orange juice in Putonghua, but she didn't even lift her eyelids. She coldly squeezed two words between her tightly closed lips. Unfortunately, I couldn't catch what she said. So I asked again. Then maybe my words annoyed her because she suddenly shouted at me in Shanghai dialect. The only word I could understand was "Xiangwuning" which means the people from rural places. The despise word hurt me so dee*** that I thought there was no good in speaking Shanghai dialect. I didn't like the Shanghai natives who were so impolite towards people from other cities. In the following years, when my father, who is a Shanghai native and can speak fluent Shanghai dialect, wanted to teach me Shanghai dialect, I always shook my head.
Now I can understand Shanghai dialect very well. But as there are more and more people from other cities in Shanghai, it brings a trend to speak Putonghua. When I speak Putonghua in stead of Shanghai dialect, The Shanghai natives look down upon me. Then I will just speak English. Seeing the confusing expression on his or her face, I will leave without any more words.
I'll not worry about whether I am a real Shanghainese or not. I believe Putonghua dominates all the dialects and most people in Shanghai will speak it other than Shanghai dialect in the future. So there is no use for me to pick up Shanghai dialect.Next time I introduce myself, I will still tell others that I can't speak Shanghai dialect without any shame.
Shanghai lies in the south of China. In spring, the weather is changeable.
Sometimes it's very cold, sometimes it's very warm. In summer, it becomes hotter and hotter. The highest temperature is over 40~C. The autumn in Shanghai is very nice.It's neither cold nor hot. The winter in Shanghai isn't very cold.It seldom snows. But most of the children look forward to a white Christmas.
Word came that a reading festival would be held by our school and there is a need for a picture for advertisement and I am writing to give my opinion. From my perspective , I am in favor of the picture in the top right corner.
As is vividly depicted in that picture, around the table sit three kids with a couple of books in their hands, having a heated discussion about the contents and sharing their thoughts for the themes, which shows their dedication and passion for reading.
Basically, several reasons are listed for my preference. First, nothing is more attractive than a proper and realistic picture. This picture serves as an epitome of our daily reading scene in the school and it is apt to let students recall the joy and harvest while reading.
Second, this picture stands for the fun of sharing and exchanging ideas. With regard to reading, there is a saying that there are a thousand Hamlets in a thousand people's eyes. After reading, bits and pieces of thoughts will appear in our mind, so it is beneficial to have a better understanding after comparing notes about what we have read.
From what is mentioned above, I, undoubtedly, approve of the picture in the top right corner. Thus, I would appreciate it if you could take my proposal into consideration and I wish this festival a complete success.
In Shanghai, there're mainly four means of transportation,the underground, taxis, buses and electric bikes. The underground is much faster than taxis and buses. Buses are the cheapest but the slowest of the four. Taxis run more quickly than buses, but they are more expensive. Now, more and more people choose to use electric bikes. The electric bike is both clean and mobile. It also saves money. It is the most convenient means of transportation.
