There are a great many hobbies to choose from. Some people enjoy collecting coins or stamps, others choose to spend their time on sports or music. I have many hobbies, but playing basketball is my favorite one. At weekends, we always build a team to play basketball against another one in our neighbourhood. So we can acquire a lot of knowledge from my university. Secondly, all sorts of lectures are given on campus. We can learn much knowledge that is interesting. Thirdly, my
campus activities are rich and colorful. Such as sports meets, speech contests, different social gatherings and dancing parties provide opportunities to make friends. What’s more, my dormitory life is very harmonious. Dormitory life is an important part of my university life. On the one hand, we can have a good rest and put our heart into study. On the other hand, we will have a good mood and enjoy being together.
This is the dark side of my university life: Firstly, there is only one dining room in my university. So we often need to wait in a long line, which waste much time. In my understanding, if we refer to an ideal college life as a formal western dinner, then a high GPA, that is, Grade Point Average, should be the main course, while an active part in
activities, together with associations, means the appetizer. Some romances, of course, play the role as desserts. They are the 3 key elements for an ideal college life.
Those, however, are not what college life is all about. As we all know, college is wildly different from middle school. It connects not only adolescence to *hood, but also the ivory tower to the real society. Therefore, the ideal college life is that I become matured both physically and mentally, and that I obtain qualified academic knowledge and get well prepared for society at the same time.
Under this circumstance, I never expect my college life to be too ideal, or you can call it too perfect. It is not realistic to make all things on my own way, with everyone liking me, winning the first prize all the time, and so on. Of course, I’d like to lead a carefree life. However, this does little good to my future. What really helps is hardships like failure, betrayal, and unjust treatment. When I was in high school, go to college ismy dream. Now I realize my dream. excited as I am, the first time I see my college.
在高中的时候上大学就是我的梦想。现在我实现了我的梦想。第一次看到我的大学时，我很兴奋。
My college is inside the biggest university of Guangxi so that everytime I have to across a big campus to go out. At first Iam upset about that, but later on I get used to it. My college looks modernization in general. When I arrive at the school gate, the first thing is the boys’ dormitory and then is the playground. Look up! I see the canteen. I see the girls’ dormitory turn left. But where is my classroom? I look around but can’t find it. It turns out that it is separated by burrows. It’s strange,right? While I go across the burrow, I see another two big playgrounds and a tenniscourt at my left side. What is in my right side? Turn right, I see rows of teaching building connecting with the library. This is my college. I like it notonly because of the evironment but also the people there.
我的大学是在广西最大的大学里面，以至于每次我要出去的时候都要经过一个大校园。一开始的时候我很烦这一点，但后来我*惯了。整体来看我的大学是现代化的。我到达学校门口时，映入眼帘的是男生宿舍，然后是操场。抬头！我看到了食堂。左转我看到了女生宿舍。但是教室在哪里呢？我环顾四周，却找不到。原来它被一个地洞给隔开了。很奇怪，对吧？我走过地洞，我看到了另外两个大操场，一个网球场在我的左边。在我右边的是什么？向右转，我看到了一排排的教学楼连接着图书馆。这是我的大学。我喜欢它，不仅仅是因为那里的环境而且还是因为那里的人。
Both the teachers and students there are very nice. My roomates always help me in the daily life, the thing they usually do is wake me up in the morning. Other classmates always help me, when I meet trouble in study. My teachers are all kind and knowlegeable. Especially my head teacher, he talks with us and plays sports with us in order to make us get used to the new life.

I have a good friend. She is a pretty girl. She live in Jiujiang. She is a middle school student. She has big eyes， a small mouth， a small nose and a round face. She is tall and thin. She likes watching TV and playing basketball. On the weekends， she always plays basketall with her friends in the afternoon and watches TV in the evening.
She is a good student. She is good at English. She likes speaking English. She always reports news in English in her school.
She says we are good friends. We often send e-mails to each other everyday. I like her very much.
Zeng Qiao is one of my friends. She is a beautiful, outgoing and good-tempered girl. She smiles frequently. I think it’s her smile that makes her beauty. We live in the same dormitory, so that we always stay together, no matter going to classroom or having dinners.
At first, I don’t like her very much, because she is always talking. It seems that she can’t stop open her mouth. I am a little bit quiet and introverted, so I seldom talk to others. But gradually, I find that she can have influence on others by what she says.
Zeng Qiao likes sharing interesting things with others. For example, she likes telling us her funny stories of her childhood or her former classmates. She always tells me that I should be more extroverted and learn to talk to others. Under the influence of her, I municate with others more frequently and I find that it feels so great.
