At home, we can use lights and other electricity only when needed. ladies and gentlemen, teachers, my fellow students:
i am very excited and feel it's a great honor to stand here to deliver my speech. what i'm going to talk about is "choice in my life"
i can still remember the first time i failed in a singing contest. i immediately ran to my grandma, shedding lots of tears of course! i cried loudly and could hardly utter a word!
then, badly needed comforting words and touch came from grandma. i gradually regained my sense of pride and a sensible control of my feelings. yet, head down, i said: "grandma, i have no choice, and i have to give up, right?" "look at me, my dear!"she said gently. i looked up, straight into her eyes. what i saw was a shining, sweet, and loving stream from the bottom of her heart! then, there came the gentle voice of hers: "no, no, no…" her head shaking, while eyes smiling. "why don't you give more attention to the details?" she continued.
no other words were needed any more! i started practicing and rehearsing once again, paying special attention to those little things that i used to ignore. as a consequence, my overall performance was quickly elevated to a new high! without much trouble, in another singing contest held months later, i won!
what do i learn from this experience? never give up lightly! life's full of opportunities, and lots of them! to realize your dreams and fulfill your potential, you must learn to work hard and smart and steer your lifeboat wisely! as a li ling's sportswear commercial goes "everything is possible!" but not without sweat, devotion, and tears sometimes!

I often get up at 6:30 to go to school every week day .I feel tired because I cannot have enough sleep.I have to burn the midnight oil at ningt because of too much homework and much books.I have 4 classes in the morning and 3 in the afternoon.I have 2 evening classes in the evening as well.I can have a nap at noon. I sometimes play sports with my classmates after class.But as usual,I go over my subjects in the classroom.

大家早上好！今天我的**下讲话的主题是：践行节能低碳，建设美丽家园。相信大家知道，长久以来，人们为了谋求经济利益，不择手段的破坏已经使我们生活的地球伤痕累累，环境问题日益突出。废气，污水，白色垃圾正笼罩着我们居住的地球，如果继续任其发展下去，我们世世代代赖以生存的地球就会在宇宙中消失。因此，我们国家为了宣传节能低碳，在全社会树立和普及生态文明理念，努力建设美丽中国，为实现中国梦贡献力量。国家决定，今年6月15日至21日为全国节能宣传周，6月17日为第一个“全国低碳日”。那我们怎么才能做到节能低碳，为建设美丽的家园出力呢?
1、节约每一滴水：洗手时调小水量，随手关闭水龙头，杜绝长流水，提高水的`利用率。
2、节约每一升油：实行“135”出行方案（也就是说一公里内步行，三公里内骑自行车，五公里内乘坐交通工具。公务出行尽量采用拼车形式，实现绿色低碳出行。
3、节约每一度电：办公区域停开一天空调；有两台以上电梯的少开一台；停开门厅、走廊、楼梯等公共场所照明灯，做到人走灯灭，随手关灯、关闭电源开关，提倡“能用一盏不开多盏”，提倡在光线充足时不开灯。
4、节约每一张纸：在满足要求的前提下，注意打印格式尽量少用纸，提倡打印纸双面用；在进行普通复印时，复印机调到省墨状态，提倡双面复印；作业本、笔记本、教案本、粉笔等坚持用完；提倡无纸化办公。

环保，简简单单的两个字却给我留下了难以磨灭的印象。环保，通俗一点的解释就是环境保护的意思，可这个世界上不知道有多少人做的事情与“环保”二字恰恰相反，他们是在破坏而并非保护。乱砍树木，污染水源，随地吐痰，排放有毒废气都属于破坏环境的一种。也许在你不知不觉中，你就会伤害到地球妈妈的身躯。因此我认为环保应该从自身做起，才能为环保做出一些属于你的贡献。

My future house is wide and spacious. It contains a lot of room such as swim pool, exercise room which contains a plenty of exercise machines, and a big play land so I can play inside the house no matter what time i play, it always open for me.

In nearly 100 years, the average global temperature experienced twice fluctuations which is “cold-warm-cold-warm”. Generally, it is the trend that global climate is becoming warmer and warmer . In 1980s,global temperature rised apparently. According to Chinese scientists, the average temperature in China has risen by 1.1 degrees
centigrade in the last 5 decades. It is higher than the reported global average. We are seeing more frequent bouts of extreme weather in many parts of the country. For example, last spring, the most severe drought in 50 years hit northern China affecting the livelihood of 4 million people. Environmental damage and climate change is a reality for us. Out of the worlds most polluted 20 cities, half are in China,70% of Chinese rivers are polluted . China has become the largest carbon emitter of the world.

I am proud of being a college student. I like my college life as it is so wonderful time in my youth. As being born in small village of the remote countryside, I didn't have a good education environment.
However, I set a goal and felt confident to be a college student. After hard study, I passed the entrance examination of national college by excellent achievement. All people were proud of me, as I was the first college student in my village. I was farewell warmly by them when I came to school. I was warmly welcome by school, too. After then, I’ve felt my study is not only for myself but also for the honor of my village neighborhood and our school.
The college life is wonderful. All life in school are fresh. New teachers, new classmates and fresh friends are around me. I’ve felt their friendship, wide knowledge and opening mind. The grand library, school buildings and wide playground are very attracting to me. I am very eager to learn much knowledge quickly. In high school, I was ever called as a runner before time. Now,I know I am behind time so much in fact. I hope to catch up with the time by my hard studying. Every day, you can see me get up early, doing exercise hard and go to school the first one.
At night, I am the one who leaves away the library. The most interesting thing is that I can’t speak the PUTONGHUA well and made many funny events at the beginning， as I am from South. When I entered the classroom at first time, I was headache as I couldn’t understand what the professor was speaking.
I met much difficulties at math, physics and other courses, even though I used to be good at these sciences. Therefore, I learn these courses myself after class. After three months, the exmination indicated that I overcame all the difficlties.
I also improved my listening and spoken ability of Chinese quickly. Communication is very important to my college life. I study English hard as well. It makes me have many chances to communicate with foreigners. I made friends with many foreign teachers and students. From them, I learn many knowledge about foreign cultures. 为什么这么说呢?依据就是全球变暖。据估算，全球每年有200万公顷的森林遭到砍伐。地球上的植被被大量砍伐，就会使吸收二氧化碳的植物变少，而人类二氧化碳的排放量却与日剧增。据估算，到21世纪末，全球*均升高1~6摄氏度。这也意味着两极的冰川将大面积融化，海*面上升，一些岛国将被迫举国迁移。而土地沙化带来的问题更为严重，耕地面积大幅度减少。水土流失严重，沙尘暴，泥石流等等。可全球仍有2700万公顷的农田沙化，就连海底也没逃过沙化的魔爪。
那我们中国呢?
我国森林覆盖率约为13%，而沙土却占国土总面积的18%，沙土意味着什么?它意味着贫瘠而我国的.沙漠面积却以2460*方千米增长。森林面积也以每年40万公顷消亡着。心疼吗?我们的湖泊面积也在不断的缩小，长江黄河的径流量也发生了巨大变化。江河之水也将变得浑浊不堪，这还不够，由于海*面上升，我国沿海城市将有被淹没的危险：长江三角洲，上海，珠江三角洲……此消彼长之下，我们的子孙如何生存?

虽然我不能成为一个完完全全的“低碳族”，为低碳生活做很大的贡献，但我只要注意节电、节水、节气，从生活中一点一滴做起，就不会成为环境的累赘。比如说：我在大白天里写作业就可以不用灯;我可以用淘米水来洗完，既可以去油渍，还不用用洗洁精，既划算又环保;每个学期结束后，我都把作业本后面没有写完的'几页纸撕下来，然后用夹子夹起来，做草稿纸，用完以后又写毛笔字，最后把它们当废品买掉，还可以有一笔小小的收入呢!我还可以当周围的人的小小宣传员，让他们也成为低碳生活中的一员。提醒他们能走路的时候尽量不开车，能吹风扇的时候尽量不开空调，能走楼梯的时候尽量少乘电梯……

当人类第一次离开地球，在太空遥望自己的家乡时，人们这才惊讶地发现，其实我们的地球更应该叫水球，因为在目前已知的星球中，它才是唯一一颗蔚蓝色的水所包围的星球，蔚蓝色意味着一种希望、一种生命，而地球正是一颗充满希望、充满生命的星球。
曾几何时，这颗充满希望与生命的星球在人类面前变得不可捉摸。从太*洋东岸的赤潮现象到美国的四月飞雪，从98年的长江大洪水到06年的四川干旱，地球仿佛在发疟疾似地颤抖，人类竟然也像倒退了一万年似的束手无策。
如果说，人类受到大自然的威胁，这多少有点“无可奈何花落去”之哀叹，那么人类去“威胁”大自然，又该怎么去陈述呢？曾经是中亚地区最大水域之一的罗布泊湖，在本世纪70年代还是一个大湖，但是到了80年代，一片汪洋已一去不返，被流沙所掩埋。这种人为造成的后果，怎不叫人痛惜？在对大自然的索取与探索中，作为“征服者”的人类，还未来得及欢庆自己的胜利，大自然就已经对人类做出了无情的报复。
据报纸记载：中国目前的沙漠约16万*方公里是人为造成的，而且目前正以*均每年1560*方公里的速度继续扩展，若不能加以控制，北方大部分地方将沦为不毛之地！这一现象怎不令人担忧，叫人着急？人类只有一个地球，我们对这个星球上的生态系统有着永远摆脱不掉的依赖性，需要地球源源不断地提供植物和动物的食物，需要有足够厚度的大气层，来保护人类不受过高成过低气温，以及过量紫外线的伤害，需要地球提供足够量的水和氧气来维持生命的存在，而没有了绿色，这一切岂不成了无本之源？
绿色锐减，吞噬绿色的，正是人类自己，是人类发展模式中那种对自然资源的掠夺性、破坏性开采。人类对绿色的无尽索取仍在威胁着生态*衡，破坏着生态的结构。据统计，全世界每年有20xx万公顷森林横遭盲目砍伐，这是5700个昆明市的面积啊。这已经造成了全球性的“温室效应”。与之相连，全世界每年有*5万个物种濒临灭绝，有*2700万公顷的农田蒙受沙漠化之灾，就连海底也日趋沙漠化，就不必再说那令我们痛心的发生在华夏大地上的长江、松嫩大灾了吧，也不必说我省的泥石流，山体滑坡了吧。如此盲目的行动如果得不到有效的制止和改变，势必爆发可怕的生态危机，而一旦它的爆发超出了人类控制的极限，其后果不堪想象。这给我们敲响了警钟，如果一直这样下去，请大家想想，我们究竟要给后代留下什么？
在这物欲横流的年代里，许多人为着眼前的利益忙碌着，甚至因此不惜牺牲子孙后代赖以生存的家园。我们的家园被污浊的河流包围了，树木成片倒下，鸟兽也被捕杀……这些事情其实就发生在我们周围，是的，就在我们身边！人类创造了巨大的经济财富，物质生活也因此得到了惊人的改善，可我不禁要问：这就是人类千百年来夸父般追逐的那个梦想吗？经济发展固然重要，但环保更是关系国际民生子孙后代的大事啊！如果山穷水尽了，还会柳暗花明吗？

Finally, one thing that we should keep in mind: every big thing comes from the subtle. Therefore, as students, we ought to turn out the lights the moment we leave, turn off the tap in time, and reuse our textbook and so on.
All in all, it weighs greatly for all of us to put the low carbon lifestyle into practice. Just set our mind to these: no-car day, no plastic bags, and no waste. Let’s do it now.

In recent years there has been a marked growth of fire accidents in bigcities of our country. Almost every day we see fire engines rushing through thestreets. Fires have not only resulted in heavy economic losses but also injuredand killed many people.
What are the causes of fire accidents? Most of the fires are brought aboutby carelessness and violation of fire safety regulations. Others are due to thepoor quality of home electrical appliances. By the way, some people don't knowhow to use them properly. Besides,there are quite a few businesses which focusso much of their attention on profits that they tend to neglect and even ignorefire precautions.
In my opinion, in order to prevent fires we should first of all fosterpeople's sense of fire prevention. 环境向我们呼吁,必须尽快采取一切措施,拯救日趋频危的野生动物,拯救我们的生存环境.生物学家发出了震撼全球的警告:"全世界将有5000种动物在不长的时期灭绝".但同时几乎发出同一声音:"本世纪上半期,每隔5年就有一种哺乳动物灭绝,本世纪下半期,已加速到每隔两年就在灭绝一种."
警告就在空中回荡,悲剧仍在脚下发展.
进入高文明社会的人类,正在野蛮愚昧的破坏生态环境.

记得有这样一句话:"两个黄鹂鸣翠柳,一行白鹭上青天."有人戏谑这样的意境只存在于都市人的梦中了.看着我们的周围,摩天大楼高耸入云,遮掩了本应辽阔的天空,股票厅里,模竖交织的荧屏上,鲜活的数字跳跃着工厂繁忙的机械声和路人匆匆的脚步声交织在一起,这就是所谓的"都市节奏"吗在这畅欲横流的年代里,许多人为着眼前的利益忙碌着,甚至因此不惜牺牲子孙后代赖以生存的家园.我们的家园被污浊的河流包围了,树木成片倒下,鸟兽也被捕杀……,人类创造了巨大的物质财富,物质生活也因此得到了惊人的改善,可我不禁要问:这就是人类千百年来夸父般追逐的那个梦想吗
我又想起了以前看过的一个故事,在淮河流域某村,50多岁的村民由于长期饮用被污染的河水,死于食道癌.在他的新坟上,一瓶雪碧是人们给水污染受害者的唯一祭品.也许你跟我一样,也难以置信,但它的的确确发生在我们周围,在中国,是啊,就在中国!心里又不禁涌起一阵心酸.在这个发展中国家里,经济固然重要,但环保更是关系国际民生子孙后代的大事啊!
为了我们的后代能够有一个良好的生存环境,为了人类能够在这个蔚蓝的星球上繁衍生息下去,我们中学生不能只顾在书海中沉浮.伸出你的手,伸出我的手,让我们共同努力,将我们的家园恢复到原有的面貌,让我们尽情享受那份失落已久的鸟语花香,那份清新与宁谧吧!让我们每一个人都弯弯腰,撒一粒绿色的种子,让绿色覆盖在每一片土地上,让我们每一个人都挑一担绿色的希望,置放在中华大地的每一个空间.
